Beachside Retreat-Oceanfront Home

The charming log home on the channel. Enjoy the ambiance of our quiet location and beautiful setting. The bedrooms are upstairs, with the master bedroom with queen bed and adjoining bath has full view of the channel approach to Kodiak. A second bedroom has queen bed and private outside coffee deck with view of channel. The third bedroom is furnished with a queen bed. Downstairs is a large kitchen and living area, full bathroom with an adjoining four seasons sun room - great for morning coffee. A greenhouse with deck is perched on the water's edge, the perfect place to watch channel traffic on a rainy day. Beachside is a very unique little property and one of a kind opportunity to really get the feel of Kodiak at its best. It's snuggled in a residential full-sun, southern exposure neighborhood, but as most of the channel view homes are overlooking on the cliff, our home is right down on the water's edge. This offers a unique perspective especially since it is the only rental property that has a dock with private beach access. All the views along here are spectacular but we enjoy being right down on the channel. Daily we see the sea lions make their way to and from town, along with ducks, loons and waterfowl of many types.. We never tire of watching the commercial vessels plow by along with charter boats zipping in and out and the steady stream of seaplanes that fly out of Trident basin to many island destinations. It's never boring here.

Historic & Cozy Kodiak Seafront Gem with Spectacular Views

We loved our stay at this historic and cozy seafront home in Kodiak! The house has so much character and charm, with breathtaking views of the canal — we watched sea lions play and boats pass by every day, right from the living room. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the sheets and linens were top-notch — it felt like staying at a boutique hotel. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, and all the thoughtful amenities made us feel completely at home. We can’t wait to come back and soak up these peaceful waterfront views again!

Second visit - a wonderful property

This was our second time staying at this house on Kodiak, and we are very keen for there to be a third visit. The house is short 20-30 mins walk from town, and is situated at the end of the small road. The house itself is very well appointed for a long stay. The view of the inlet/bay/channel is wonderful, with passing sealions, bald eagles and fishing vessels. The living area on the groundfloor is very well appointed, and pleasure to spend time in, either cooking, relaxing, and watching life pass by the windows. Thank you to our hosts who took care of us again for this stay. We hope to see you again next year!

Breathtaking views, great location

This house and deck are the perfect place for a stay in Kodiak. Downtown is within walking distance, close to grocery stores, shops and restaurants. House is older, and sound travels, just bring ear plugs or use the fans on premises. Hot water is plentiful, bald eagles have nests in trees on property, beach access, watch as the boats pass by, this really is the place to stay! Would definitely recommend this place and stay here again.

Best spot on the ocean bay to see boats, small planes, and this time actually seen a few whale spout

So awesome! Great windows and living area. Outside grill, gazebo, and deck right on the water. We stay every year.

Home on the water

Best place we have ever stayed in on Kodiak. No matter what the weather is there is always a place you can be and watch the boats go by and the float planes fly over.....the new deck,the green house or from the window inside...Prefect home.

Best spot on the shore!

Beautiful spot with great views. It’s the passageway to the marina, so lots of boat activity. We seen several sea lions cruise by too and an eagle swoop down off the deck by the water. We’ll be back!!

Kodiak boat channel house with great views

This was a great place for our family of seven adults with three bedrooms and two full baths. Th house is designed to focus all your attention to the views of tHe boat channel. Hope was very helpful and easy to contact during the reservation process and a.gain when we reached the island. Check in and out was really easy. The house has good wi-fi and comfortable beds. It was in clean and in good condition and had a well stocked kitchen. It was a fun, relaxing base for our family week in Kodiak. We saw seals, otters eagles and tons of boats everyday right outside. The sea planes take off and land right in front of this house. That was great fun to watch every day. Great property, amazing views, lots of fun. It has a huge back patio located right on the channel. We spent lots of time out there and ate dinner and barbecue out there every evening.

Awesome view right on the bay!!

We loved this 3-bedroom home on the bay. We watched float planes take off and fussing by boats float by, and there were sea lions swimming out front. Great kitchen and view. We will definitely be back.

Peace and Relaxation

My husband and I ran in the Anchorage Marathon and came to Kodiak to relax and recover. Beachside was the perfect place to do that. We also took the Kingfisher Aviation bear viewing flight - would definitely recommend!

Best rental in Kodiak!

We were in town for a large family reunion and this house was perfect for us. We did a lot of cooking: the kitchen was well outfitted and the large kitchen island lent itself to group cooking projects. The bedding and towels were a very nice quality and there was plenty of everything. The view was amazing- it is right on the channel with views of Near Island. We saw lots of wildlife out the windows: sea lions, seals, deer, eagles, and a sea otter right by the house. The place was clean and the showers and laundry facilities were great. This rental greatly enhanced our time in Kodiak.

My husband, two children and I loved our stay at the beachside rental in Kodiak. Excellent views of the channel and to the islands on the other side. We saw sea lions, sea otters and bald eagles go right past the house. Plus the many many boats close by and a couple of whales in the distance. The house was clean and well-stocked with everything you can need furniture and utilities-wise. We were so glad that the house has a shoes-off policy. It was also extremely comfortable and has excellent wifi. Annie and Tony were lovely hosts. Our only niggle was the lack of blackout blinds in the master bedroom, given the long summer days.

Fantastic location and beautiful property.

This is a wonderfully maintained house located right on the main channel. Great to watch the sea planes take off and land as well as watching all though fishing boats come in and out. Everything is perfectly clean and the beds are great. Can’t beat this property and would go back again.

Everything is great..

This was our 3rd time to stay at this house and I can’t say enough good things about it. The owners are always so accommodating to needs if there are any. We love being able to sit outside if the weather is nice and watching whales, seals, Eagles, boats and planes coming and going. If the weather isn’t cooperating the big picture window serves as a great way to not miss a thing. We will be back!!

This property is SO charming! Every ammenity you would want has been covered. We were so enchanted by the personal decorating, including handmade quilts. The outdoor space is very welcoming with a perfect view of the channel and associated activities. Truly an outstanding property that you will love!

Outstanding location and accommodations! Our hosts could not have been more wonderful!

Absolutely on the beach with gorgeous views of the islands across the bay and constantly changing conditions. Beautiful setting, feels like we are on our own island! Only the sounds of bald eagles and ravens waking us in the mornings! Comfortable beds and enough room for our family of 6 with 4 teens! Can’t thank Annie enough for allowing us to check in early due to my early flight arrangements, she went the extra mile, above and beyond to make sure unit was ready. We appreciate it so much!!! Will tell everyone to book your home when they come to Kodiak! God bless!

Best place to stay in Kodiak!

This was our second time staying at the Beachside home in Kodiak. Their home is very clean, well stocked, beautiful kitchen, comfortable beds, and outstanding views of the Kodiak channel from the master bedroom and living area. Great place to stay regardless of the weather. We spent a lot of our time sitting at the window enjoying the view of boats, float planes and sea life passing by. The view was stunning and peaceful. This is the only place we will stay in Kodiak.

Stunning Waterfront!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay along the waterfront here in Kodiak. This home offered great views, close proximity to shopping and restaurants, and plenty of space for our family. The upstairs shower is pretty tight as the shower head is very low and the curtains are very close, so if you're coming to Kodiak to spend a lot of time showering, choose a different property. If you want to be inspired by the island of Kodiak and not miss out on the beauty by coming back to the house, choose this spot. We saw jumping seals, otters, bald eagles, boats, planes, storms, and sun--all from the living room. Would definitely stay here again!
