"This is a beautifully appointed shepherd's hut on the edge of a pretty and quiet village in the North Pennines. Lots of walking routes nearby and just a few miles from Appleby-in-Westmoreland. We enjoyed our stay very much though were disappointed that the internet signal was so poor. The TV would not stream smoothly so not worth having it there at the moment. "Spent two nights and had a great time staying here. The hosts Nikki and Alan are the best. Nothing and I mean nothing is too much trouble for them. From stepping through the door they made us feel welcome. Nikki upgraded our room and changed our tv as the one in the room needed re-tuning. "This is an exceptional find near the centre of Penrith. A spacious and comfortable guest house, great value, a short walk from the centre of town, with private parking, excellent service and a variety of delicious breakfast choices. Mark and Paula are lovely people and excellent hosts, kind and considerate, and very attentive to the needs of guests. Many thanks to them for a top quality B&B experience."
