"The room was comfortable and clean. Unfortunately voices were audible through the walls on one side of the room as were music and footsteps from the dinng area below but otherwise I was satisfield with the accommodation. Having an on-site restaurant was a handy option for the first night although I did venture out on my second evening for tea at a local restaurant. "We wanted an overnight stay on our way to the Lake District and found a perfect gem of a hotel. From the moment we arrived we were cared for by great staff. Our bedroom was a suite and just gorgeous. Dinner and breakfast were superb with plenty of choices. Wandering around the extensive beautifully manicured grounds we found the kitchen garden which is obviously used for a great deal of the food in the hotel. Just wished we could have stayed longer. "

"Nice clean comfortable room but no tea spoons so a bit of a challenge to make a cup of tea! We arrived at 8.30pm and they had stopped food. However, they rustled us up a plate of chips :) "
