"We have stayed at quite a few motels during our Canadian/US roadtrip and this motel is right up there as one of our favourites. The rooms were clean and tidy, after a long days drive we were happy to order a freshly made pizza with some cool drinks and sit on the patio and enjoy the view over the river. "This was our first e experience at Under Canvas or any tent property. We loved it and I’m sure we will try another one of their campuses. The staff is amazing and totally willing to help with anything. The food was good. The best thing was the ambiance. We stayed in a stargazer tent and the stars did not disappoint. I even saw the Milky Way for the first time in years."

"The staff had the personality of plain instant oatmeal mixed with water. But they were present and got me checked in quickly. If you have hair that is thicker than a bald man, be prepared for it to take FOREVER to rinse shampoo and conditioner out. But there was plenty of hot water to do so in the trickle that came out. AC worked beautifully so my room was able to be set at morgue cold in the ridiculously hot outside weather. And the pool looked clean and fabulous!"

"Interesting experience. There is no on-site staff, but the building is in excellent (restored) condition. You let yourself in with the door code and then you’re on your own. The on-site restaurant is not operating, so we drove a couple miles for dinner. We made breakfast from what was on site. Thankfully there was no noise from the railroad outside. We’ll be back."
