This wonderful 2nd floor condo in Colony By The Sea features comfort, easy beach access, and only a hop, skip and a jump to Duck's unique shops, galleries and restaurants. This condo is an affordable beach rental on the Outer Banks where you can experience a great family vacation. This condo is located on the second floor. The Colony by the Sea community pool is open from Memorial Day thru late September.

Qué hay en los alrededores

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Amazing Location

We loved our stay week! The property was exactly as advertised with an even better ocean view than expected. As other reviews mentioned, be aware that there are 2 flights of stairs to get to the condo. Also, the king size bed was on the softer side. The updated kitchen and bathrooms were great, and our kids loved the bunk bed options. We would definitely book here again!

Wonderful vacation

The condo was even better in person than online. It was impeccably clean- I felt like I was in my house. The kitchen was very well stocked. All of the furniture was comfortable. The water pressure in the showers were amazing. The only negative thing was the TV in the room with the bunks, only had 1 channel. In the big picture of things, not a huge deal. Thank you for a wonderful week away!!!

Paradise By The Sea

We had a FANTASTIC stay at the Colony By The Sea. I must say that we were happily surprised walking into the condo. It was clean and adorable and the views of the ocean were spectacular. There was plenty of room for my family of four. It was fabulous that there was such a short walk to the beach and that the pool was also right there. I also really liked that there was a bathroom that residents could use right by the beach rinse off. The complex is close to the amazing Duck village and I rode my bike into town to get a coffee every morning. Not only could you watch the sun rise from the patio, but you could ride your bike or walk (or drive) to watch the sun set over the sound along Duck's boardwalk. My ONLY complaint was the noise from the upstairs unit. I had seen a review that talked about the noise and blew it off as I don't mind a little noise. I don't mind it during the day, but being woken up by loud stomping and dogs barking and things being dragged EVERY morning starting at 4am was a bummer. That is the ONLY reason I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5. If you are not a light sleeper or you bring earplugs, you will probably be just fine. Again, loved the place overall!!!

A prefect beach and pool week

I am not picky but be aware no elevator if you’re on the third floor it’s a long ways up any floor below that be aware tenants above walking around in the middle of the night it’s only wood floors so if you’re a light sleeper you may need some earplugs besides that great place
