Top Level — Heart of the Home The top level is where your group will naturally gather. Two king bedrooms on this level offer comfort for those who prefer to stay close to the main living spaces. Step through to the upper decks and rooftop-style outdoor areas — by far the most popular spots in the home.
Mid Level — Bedrooms & Secondary Living Four additional bedrooms on the mid level, including a bunk room that sleeps up to six children (the kids will fight over it), two queen bedrooms, and one additional king suite with en suite bath. A secondary living lounge with wet bar provides a quieter retreat — perfect for kids' downtime, early risers, or late-night conversations away from the main level. Deck access from this level as well.
Ground Level — Recreation & Pool The ground level connects the indoors to the outdoor experience. Q: Is the pool heated? A: The pool is operational May through October. Pool heating is available on request for $800/week — please request at least 3 days before your arrival. The hot tub is heated year-round.
Q: Is this property directly on the water? Can we access the sound from the home? A: Yes — Soundside Pearl sits directly on the Currituck Sound. The yard extends to the water's edge and guests have direct water access from the property. The community sound pier steps away is the primary launch point for kayaking and paddleboarding. Swimming in the sound is possible from the property's waterfront yard.
Q: How many parking spaces are available? A: The property includes parking for 4+ vehicles including the driveway and garage. Per Port Trinitie community rules, RVs, trailers, and oversized vehicles are not permitted. Large groups arriving with multiple cars should contact us for specific parking guidance.
Q: Are there security cameras or noise monitoring devices on the property? A: Exterior security cameras are present for guest safety. There are no interior cameras of any kind. All surveillance is disclosed in compliance with Airbnb, VRBO, and local regulations.
Q: Which bedrooms have private bathrooms? A: Four of the six bedrooms have private en suite bathrooms: the Oyster Pearl Suite (top level), Siren's Chamber (top level), Seafoam Sanctuary (mid level), and Trident Suite (mid level). The two Queen bedrooms on the mid level share the hall bath. There is also a half bath on the ground level near the pool/game room. Total: 4 full bathrooms + 2 half bathrooms.
Q: Can we host a small event, ceremony, or family gathering? A: Soundside Pearl does not permit large events or outside vendors. However, small intimate family occasions (such as an elopement ceremony or birthday dinner for registered guests only) may be considered — please contact us before booking to discuss. An event fee may apply. For ceremonies using the Port Trinitie community gazebo, advance coordination with community management is required and availability cannot be guaranteed.
Q: Are pets welcome? What are the pet rules? A: Yes — up to two dogs are welcome. The pet fee is $250 per pet (maximum 2 pets). Pets must be kept on leash in all community areas and are not permitted in the community pools. Please clean up after your pets on the property and throughout the community.
Q: What is the minimum stay? A: The minimum stay is 5 nights. During peak summer season (typically late June through Labor Day), a 7-night Saturday-to-Saturday stay is required. Off-season and shoulder-season minimums may be shorter — check the calendar or contact us for flexibility.
Q: What are check-in and check-out times? A: Check-in is at 4:00 PM. Check-out is at 10:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out may be available depending on the booking schedule — please request in advance. Self check-in instructions including door codes are sent 48 hours before arrival.
Q: How does the cargo lift work? A: The cargo lift makes loading luggage and groceries between levels effortless. Instructions for use are included in your arrival guide sent before check-in.

Great beach house
We loved this house. Very convenient to the beach, the Sound, tennis/pickle ball, biking trails and town. Great views of the Sound at sunset from the top deck. Just a very peaceful relaxing place to stay.

It was clean and well kept. It was beautiful. thank you for sharing this property and your island with us. We had stopped at the market to buy food the way in. It would have been nice to know that there was no soap in the bathrooms or showers. We had to go back.

Amazing Experience
We really enjoyed our stay at this house. So much space for everyone and very clean! The house was within a 5 minutes walk to the beach! Lots of restaurants nearby within a 5-10 min drive. We had a great time! Owner was very prompt in responding to all of our questions/requests. Will definitely be back!

Excellent Place to Stay with a Large Group
We had a great stay at this home. We had four adults, five teenagers and a child and everyone had plenty of room to spread out. There are three living areas in this house, plus tons of outdoor living space. All of the bathrooms were very recently remodeled which was a welcome surprise. The house is well located within an easy walk to the sound and to the beach. There were plenty of good restaurants within a 3 mile drive. Everything was exactly as we hoped and the owner was a great communicator. I highly recommend this house if you are traveling with a large group.

Port Trinitie Property
This summer we were lucky enough to spend two wonderful weeks in Duck at your property!! It was so beautiful and so wonderful for our family. There was something for everyone!! The access to the beach was amazing, and the ability to use the pool immediately after visiting the beach was a perfect transition. We loved all the wrap around porches, and the views were stunning! We felt like we were in heaven. At one point, we were in need of steak knives and an electric can opener. Once we contacted the property management, we were swiftly provided with the items we needed. The house was so clean! It was so difficult to leave after our wonderful family vacation, and we will surely be booking this property again. Thank you for an amazing and memorable time in beautiful Duck, NC!!

Pros and Cons
Pros: This is a big house with ample bedrooms and bathrooms. It is near the main road but properly fenced in for privacy and has a reassuring alarm system. The pool is nice and well kept and was only a short walk down a private road to the beach! The WiFi, tvs, and plumbing worked well and we had no issues with those important things.
Cons: AC didn’t work on top level. The property manager sent an HVAC person over after day 1 and then ignored follow-up messages that it still wasn’t working until day 6. We left a day early because of the heat inside on the top level (where the two primary bedrooms and main kitchen/living room area is located).
My family commented that the outside of the house could use a power washing and be cleared of cobwebs, but that didn’t bother most of us.
The only other thing to be aware of is bringing necessary kitchen utensils and appliances. They have some random things, but they do not have a toaster or many pots/pans. So if you plan on cooking in a lot, bring what you need!
