For your convenience, we offer a completely contactless check-in experience. You’ll receive a unique front door code 2 days prior to arrival, allowing for secure, easy entry at any time—day or night.

Guest Portal:
Your guest portal puts everything you need in one place, including property details, local things to do, and helpful house instructions. You can also access the front door lock and control the AC thermostats directly inside the portal, making your stay smooth and stress-free.

Management:
Our property is expertly managed by Rather Be Properties, and we’re committed to making your stay enjoyable and seamless. Our team is available daily from 9 AM to 9 PM to assist with any questions or requests. You can easily reach us through the Vrbo app, by phone, or email. For any urgent issues after hours, we also offer a 24-hour emergency line, ensuring support at any time during your stay.

Pet-Friendly Accommodations:
We welcome one dog only (up to 60 lbs) for a fee of $150 per stay. This fee helps cover the additional cleaning required for pet hair. If any waste beyond hair (such as urine or feces) is found, an additional $200 cleaning fee will be charged. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pet, and dogs should not be left unattended in the home, as barking may disturb neighbors. Please note: Dogs are not allowed in the pool. Please let us know if you are traveling with a dog

Pool heater:
The pool requires a lot of electricity heat, so using this will incur a daily fee of $125 (Plus Tax). This will be billed prior to your arrival if you request it, please note we need at least 5 days to heat the pool and must be booked and paid for, for the duration of your stay. Our pool is closed and covered seasonally from November to March.

Hot Tub:
The use of the hot tub is included in your nightly rate, there is no additional charge. Our team will turn the hot tub on prior to your arrival.

Pests:
Duck is home to midges, tiny seasonal bugs that are harmless and do not bite, but they can appear in large numbers. To keep them out, we recommend keeping doors closed as much as possible and turning off outdoor lights at night, as light attracts them. We regularly treat the area, but they may still be present outdoors. Bug spray is a great idea for enjoying the deck and pool areas. Additionally, snakes from the nearby marsh can occasionally be spotted. If you see one on the property, please contact us immediately, and we will arrange for animal control to remove it.
House Rules
• Primary renter must be 21+, sign a rental agreement, and provide valid photo ID. The registered guest must remain on-site for the entire stay. Subleasing is prohibited.
• No parties or events. Loud music, rambunctious gatherings, or excessive cars disturbing neighbors are strictly prohibited.
• No sticking tape on walls or pictures, and no confetti or glitter is allowed.
• Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 10 AM. Excessive noise or disturbances may result in immediate eviction without refund.
• Smoking or vaping is not allowed indoors, including cigarettes, marijuana, or e-cigarettes. Any cleaning or damage costs will be charged to the primary guest.
• Pets must be on leashes in unenclosed areas. No dogs in the pool. Please clean up after your pets and be mindful of barking to avoid neighbor complaints. Max 1 dog
• Only park in designated areas: car port, driveway, or directly in front of the property. Max 4 vehicles allowed.

Loved our stay at Duck Blind! Hosts were very nice and efficient. We had 2 families and 6 kids between 2 and 6 and they had a blast. The location is perfect, and the house was fun, warm, and as advertised in the photos. The sunsets alone are worth the stay!

The BEST rental in DUCK

The house was amazing. The house from top to bottom was nothing short of fantastic. The pool the hot tub the game room was awesome. 2 blocks away from town waw even better. We will be booking this house again.

great location, amenities more!

the owner really thought of everything for this house! so many great amenities/activities to do here. great for entertaining large groups of people! it was very clean when we got here, and the owner left clear instructions on checking in and out. location is a short walk from the beach and a short drive from the town and grocery store.
