This charming first floor condo in Colony By The Sea offers relaxation and easy access to both the beach and pool. Enjoy all that the town of Duck has to offer with close proximity to lots of shops and restaurants, you can walk or bike through the paved sidewalk to tour the town! Located just south of Corolla, you will be able to take a trip up to see the Wild Horses or the Currituck Lighthouse. This unit is located on the first floor.

Què hi ha als voltants

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Nice condo. Great views.

The condo was nice - good furniture and kitchen supplies were more than adequate. I liked the side porch which other condos may not have at Colony by the Sea. The only bummer was internet access. It seems that the access is shared by everyone at the condo development and therefore is not secure. In addition, I had to log in every time I wanted to get on the net, check email. etc. That was a pain. Otherwise great experience.

Great location-relaxing week

This condo provided all we needed to spend a relaxing week at the beach. Location and access to the beach terrific. Comfortable bed. Stove and dishwasher could use an upgrade.

Perfect location

We were pleasantly surprised with this property! Right at the beach and listening to ocean waves every day was the best vacation. The condo was clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this rental!
