Charming 2 bedroom cottage in a quiet neighborhood, walking distance to Fort McClary State Park and Barter's Creek. Sleeps 4. Well located to Pepperrell Cove, Kittery Foreside, Portsmouth New Hampshire, beaches and Kittery Outlet malls. Great place for 2 people or a couple. Kitchen well stocked with utensils and cooking items, although we didn't cook at all this visit. Very close to great restaurants and walks. Great location. Quiet except for morning rush hour.

I loved everything about this beautiful cottage: the gorgeous, carefully restored plank-wood floors, the beautiful, handcrafted kitchen bar counter, the built-in bookcase, the fireplace with woodstove, and the back deck where I took advantage of the best feature of all: a clear view of Barters Creek, where I relaxed next to the firepit/table and watched the tides ebb and flow as swimmers did their laps, kayakers and paddleboarders floated by and kids and adults alike leapt into the refreshing green waters. The cottage has all new appliances, a modern bathroom with a cool stone floor, rainwater showerhead (my favorite) and great washer and dryer that I used a couple of times; and two well-appointed bedrooms, one of which has a very quiet, but very effective air conditioner. There are also fans in each room to keep the air moving when it's needed, and a skylight in one of the rooms. Sarah and Pete are wonderful hosts. Sarah responded to me immediately when I had any kind of question or concern, of which there were hardly any, because they thought of everything in advance. I can't say enough about this place. It's just beautiful, it's peaceful, it's graced by wonderful seabreezes, and as an extra bonus the neighbor next door is friendly and gracious, offering to help with anything I might need.

We needed to stay in the area for an extended time and instead of a hotel decided to rent this cottage. We ended up having a vacation! The place is beautiful, perfectly renovated. Cozy and welcoming. The location in amazing, and the Creek was a treat! Sarah and Pete are amazing hosts. We‘ll be back !!

Heavenly Brook

This lovely cottage sits only yards away from a salt water sluice and Brook. Sit in the charming living room and watch the kayaks and paddle boarders pass by. Or, enjoy your Al fresco dinner in the porch as you had at the FIREPIT and gorgeous yard. 10 minutes from Portsmouth and 30 minutes from Ogunquit. Heaven.

Lovely Stay

Wonderful location with water views and easy walk to the sea. Beautifully decorated. Kitchen and bathroom modern, fresh and clean. Owners easy to communicate with and very friendly. Quiet and peaceful and close to everything!

Romantic Hideaway

This quiet cottage was the perfect romantic retreat. Located close to the water and nearby walking trails, the location was both private and convenient. The furnishings and decor were lovely, and kitchen was impressively stocked with everything we needed to prep food and dine in. We’ll be back regularly!

So welcoming

So many details made the difference...tasteful, quality updates to this sweet cottage with a history made for a special vacation home. Perfect kitchen, fireplace in and out, beautiful wood everywhere, and everything we needed. Our hosts could not have been more responsive and accommodating . Waking up to coffee and the view of the creek in the sunshine started the day just right. Loved it.

We had a great stay. This property is ideally located near Portsmouth and in walking distance from Kittery restaurants. The scenery is just beautiful and this was a quick drive from Boston, our starting point.

Cottage is gorgeous and comfortable. There is traffic noise starting at 6-6:30 am but not too bad with ear plugs. Kitchen very well equipped. Beautiful setting and easy drive to Portsmouth

Fabulous stay!

A classmate and I stayed here to attend our 50th class reunion weekend and the property was absolutely perfect for us. After all the shenanigans of enjoying our fellow classmates, it was a home away from home that was much appreciated. The home is quiet and peaceful, which is just what was needed. I hope to return!

Fantastic home away from home!

This property is clearly loved by its owners. There are so many little touches that show an attention to detail and hospitality, and I enjoyed learning about its history being passed down through the family. The location is perfect for enjoying Kittery and its surrounding towns, and I especially loved how peaceful it was. Thank you, Sarah, for your warm hospitality! We very much loved our week.
