Avoid at all cost!
We chose this place because it’s about 1.5 miles from our aunt’s house. We arrived very late but immediately noticed the intense heat. The upstairs bedrooms were unbearable. To our surprise, the AC was locked & we could not lower it. I e-mailed the host and he gave us the code and asked not to lower the air lower than 72 because it would freeze. It took so long for the house to cool that everyone slept downstairs. Orlando was in the midst of a heat wave, so we did not want to chance becoming dehydrated or worse. Four of us slept on couches. The kids were ok but the adults did not sleep. I checked the rest of the house… The kitchen sink & counter has these bizarre burn marks as if someone was cooking an illegal substance. The dishwasher has a tattered sign stating that it was broken. There is a sign that says, “please have some coffee or tea”, but the shelves are empty. The floor planks are lifting at the edges, probably due to the insane heat. The couches in the living room have tears. None of the closets have hangers. There was exactly one dingy towel per person; hiding in the laundry. Carpets are stained; have never been steam cleaned. Smells weird, kinda stuffy and damp. The two showers cannot be used at the same time. I was upstairs & barely had any water pressure. There is a creepy van parked in the driveway, barely leaving room for two cars. Someone showed up & spoke to my husband. He already knew about everything. Unbelievable!
