We got to our cottage after hours and it was a smooth check-in with the instructions emailed to us. The cottage is very comfy and spacious.It was about a 10 min drive to everything like downtown Truckee and it said 15/20 min to Palisades Tahoe but felt like less. "

One side had a king bed, and the other had a pull-out couch with a table and chairs. Both rooms had their own bathrooms, which was actually a huge win. "The staff people were great. The food at the restaurant was great, the drinks even better. It's like staying at the pub in the Cotswalds country side, which was cool. Unfortunately, the rooms left a lot to be desired, especially at the price charged. The very, very squeaky bed, the windows with a ton of street noise, the shower/tub from the 1800s, which I thought was a period piece harking back to the pub idea, and essentially no friills everything. I've paid 1/5th the price at a basic Marriott...

"We ended up going on a diff weekend due to storm blocking roads. Nice they allowed us to change despite policy. However few problems with our stay 1. Housekeeping. We asked for extra comforter / duvet as we had 4 guests in that each preferred own blanket. Multiple times had to re-ask as housekeeping kept taking them during cleaning and turndown. On top of this there were some shelves covered in thick layer of dust. Superficial job. 2. Food was OK. Manzanita was decent but lobby and taco place...
