"When we walked in the room at 9.45pm the room was freezing cold, we found the radiators and turned the heating on but at 11pm the heating went off and didn’t come on again until the morning which meant we was cold all night. "Property is beautiful and in a lovely setting. Strange set up where I received an email saying my booking was at risk as I’d given incorrect card details to secure the booking. Payment was due to be taken on arrival. Turns out the hotel needed payment up front and this is why we received the email. This seemed unprofessional and a little odd. "Our room was lovely and clean bar area adequate but outside areas could do with a bit of TLC breakfast Continental only offer poached eggs and boiled eggs with a selection of croissants, cereals small car park "

"Caro the host was lovely and friendly and very hospitable. The old Manor House is beautiful set in rolling countryside. The bedroom was large, beds were comfortable and good shower. Caro provides an excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Would defo visit again. The Globe Inn nearby does good food and the staff and locals were good fun."

"Absolutely loved our weekend at the Dower House! Amazing location surrounded by nature, the building is so beautiful and our room was huge and had every comfort. All the things you don't find in chain hotels are here - four poster bed, comfy sofa, coffee table and chairs sat amongst a wonderful backdrop, dark and quiet at night for a great sleep. And not to forget the amazing and genuine owners, Tim and Rosemarie, and Teresa who served a great breakfast "
