Baywood has been recently renovated with new flooring, interior & exterior paint, a new fence for you & your furbabies, as well as furniture additions! This home is a beautifully constructed 2 bedroom, 2 bath soundfront piece of heaven. Included with your rental are 2 beachcruisers, tandem kayak, and a canoe you can launch from the property dock. An outside shower is available as well as a gas grill, firepit, & a dock. My romantic soundfront home is an excellent choice to vacation with its proximity to shopping, restaurants, arts, sightseeing, laser tag, boating, fishing, bird and bear watching, jet skiing, surfing, kite boarding & eco tours.

Baywood is located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, surrounded by bike & walking paths and less than a mile from the beach. The new Bay Drive bike path which runs for miles and to the Wrights Memorial is right at the edge of the driveway. Bring your boat, Dock Street boat launch is 1/10 of a mile from the home. While the house is soundfront, the tidal range (water depth) only permits canoeing and kayaking directly from the property.

There is a fully equipped eat in kitchen which includes dishes, cookware, cutlery, barware, & glassware for your every culinary need. Appliances include a blender, both a Keurig coffee maker and drip style types, microwave, dishwasher, gas range & oven, toaster oven, & refrigerator/freezer with ice & water in the door. theres even a big pot available for a crab or seafood boil! I have made every effort to stock Baywood like it's my own home, and want you to have a chef's like kitchen. Well, it kinda is "my home" :)

Feel free to explore the bike path that extends north along Bay Drive. Bike or Walk to local restaurants, ice cream & coffee shops. Provided for water lovers are a canoe & a tandem kayak (with lifejackets and paddles). Your options are endless with the many surrounding islands in the sound.

I want you to have a relaxing getaway in my Outer Banks home! Check-out time is 10 am and departure instructions are included in your welcome letter and are also in the guestbook binder located in my home. Check-in time is set for 4 pm to allow them the time they need to prepare the home for your arrival.

Absolutely loved our stay at Baywood. Beautiful views of the sound and a big fenced in yard for our pups. The house was spotless, very tastefully furnished/decorated and stocked with everything we could possibly need. The neighborhood was quiet and close to the beach and other activities. Ron was responsive, helpful and friendly. Wonderful host and great experience. We look forward to returning next year and highly recommend this lovely house.

Wonderful stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stayand wished it could’ve been longer. The hospitality was top notch and the home decor was inviting. This was the first time we stayed on the sound and the view was just perfect! The house was stocked with a lot of necessities which made it easier for me and my family. Great vacation on the bay!

This property is beautiful and a great waterfront location. Very easy to communicate with the owner. Friendly and personable neighbors and community as a whole.The house had everything we needed with a great layout and accommodations with a cozy feel. It's also close to restaurants and stores. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxing and the sunsets on the bay were beautiful!! A short walk or drive to the beach and pier with beautiful views. Our dog loved the fenced in yard to play in and the surrounding neighborhood is very dog walk friendly and our puppy made a lot of new friends. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic home great for dogs

The perfect place!

I stayed at Baywood for a month and it was exactly what I needed - warm and inviting, amazing view of the sound, clean and stocked and perfect for work and relaxing. Ron, the host, could not have been more accommodating and communicative, and even checked on me after we had a random snowstorm. It’s obvious he takes amazing care of his property. I am already plotting my return to Baywood…such a great stay!

Sunset Dream House

Fabulous house with all the comforts of home! Location was great - friendly quiet neighborhood that is close to all the sites, restaurants etc. Our dog loved the large fenced-in yard. Would definitely stay again!

This was a beautiful property with gorgeous sunset views. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed the fenced in backyard. There was lots of room to run and play her favorite game of frisbee!

Baywood is a great place to stay !

We had a great time staying at Baywood ! Everything was clean and real nice ! The host answered all questions that we had promptly. The view was great also ! We talked to the neighbors on both sides and really had a good time.It gets a little warm on the top deck around 4 pm but the space downstairs and porch swing had good shade and a nice breeze. After about 5 the trees shade the upper deck until sunset. We highly recommend !

Absolutely Wonderful!

We had an amazing stay. House is very well equipped indoors and out to ensure a comfortable stay. We had everything needed to prepare meals, relax on the decks and enjoy the sound. Sunsets were an incredible bonus!!
