  • Summary:

    A penthouse is a good reason to let the day breathe a little. This one-bedroom Sugar Beach Resort penthouse sleeps four and gives a small family or two friends traveling together a beachfront Kihei base with a little extra sense of occasion. Sugar Beach is close for swimming, strolling, and soft-sand afternoons, while the shared pool and hot tub offer a different kind of reset. Inside, air conditioning, WiFi, a kitchen, and a private washer and dryer make the stay easy to live in. Use the shared grills when dinner calls for something casual. This is for guests who want beach access, a penthouse address, and room for four without overcomplicating Maui.



    The Space:

    This 613-square-foot penthouse has one bedroom, one bathroom, and two beds for up to four guests. The interior is equipped with air conditioning, WiFi, a kitchen, and a private washer and dryer. Its penthouse designation gives a small group a memorable Sugar Beach Resort setting while the practical layout keeps beach days uncomplicated.



    Guest Access:

    Guests at this Sugar Beach Resort penthouse enjoy access to the shared communal pool and hot tub, along with a BBQ grill for relaxed island barbecues. The building includes an elevator and a disabled parking spot for easy access, plus beach access and a garden area for outdoor time.



    The Neighborhood:

    North Kihei is a strong choice when the family wants the beach to be easy, not scheduled. Sugar Beach runs along a wide white-sand shoreline close to the resort, offering space for a swim, a sunset walk, or simply an afternoon outside. The shared pool, hot tub, and grills give everyone options close to home. Kihei's shopping and dining are nearby for the moments you want a change, but this beachfront corner of Maui makes it tempting to stay close and enjoy the coast.



    Getting Around:

    Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.

Great experience!

I was traveling in a group of 3 for a one week stay. This condo was the perfect size for us and had a kitchen supplied with all the pots, pans, and utensils we needed. We appreciated the beach towels and cooler bags provided. The condo was in a good location in between Kīhei and Lahaina and Paia which made it convenient for us to get around. Overall we had a great experience and I would recommend this property to other travelers!

We always return to Sugar Beach Resort. The grounds are immaculate, never crowded, access to everything. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Excellent place!

Very clean. Excellent views from balcony and location was central to the island with many restaurants within a few minutes drive. Pool and beach were great! We’ll stay here again.

Great stay

This place was perfect for us, we went for our honeymoon and the pictures were just as shown. The place was clean, kitchen supplied with everyday cooking pots, pans, plates. We liked how this location is in the middle of Lahaina, Paia, and Wailea. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location and great stay!!

We loved the location as it was at the end of town and was quiet. The stretch of beach in front of the resort was very nice. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were great, and the grounds were very well taken care of. We would definitely come back and stay in this exact location again.

Great condo, amenities, and location. The pool and hot tub are nice, very easy access to the beach with a gear rental shop on site. Easy parking and short drive to other areas on the island. Very close to the airport. Unit was clean and as described, everything functioning appropriately. Would recommend staying here.

Perfect Location!

Amazing views from either lanai or in condo or ocean, the valley, and upcountry! Thoughtful details including nice beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, and boogie board, as well as small library for beach reads. Love the amenities of Sugar Beach including Dina’s SandWitch with the friendliest staff, Massage Maui, and beach/pool access. Perfect central location on island. Mahalo for a wonderful stay!

Condo was in a good location north of town, but not too far. It was really well appointed and had everything you would need. Especially for cooking! Only downside…..weren’t aware it was on the highway and that was definitely a detractor at night.

First VRBO experience. Property was clean and as advertised. Location on beautiful Sugar beach, walking distance from fruit stand, Sugar beach Bakery and Ululanis shave ice. Driving location 20-30 mins from others parts of the island. Perfect for our young family of 4.
