Quiet location features large private view deck and renovated interior. Doesn't get any better. Watch the life of Maui unfold from the morning till evening from your private 114 sq foot private view deck.

The Maui Sunset is located on over 5 acres of oceanfront at Kihei which is considered one of the best locations on the Valley Isle. Kihei is noted for its year-round sunshine, balmy trade winds, and soothing evening air. It is one of the driest and sunniest areas on the entire island, averaging only 10 inches a year! World famous swimming and snorkeling beaches are minutes away at one of the many sandy safe beaches at Kihei and nearby Wailea. Just a short distance (6 miles) from five championship 18-hole resort golf courses at Wailea and Makena. The two buildings frame and protect a large recreational area that is carefully attended and landscaped. The 60-foot swimming pool with its broad decks and abundance of pool furniture invites you to improve on your tan.

Super responsive and caring host

My husband and I stayed here for a week -- about halfway through the stay, I had found a bug that crawled out of the couch that looked questionable. I contacted the host immediately and he promptly sent an exterminator out the next morning to ensure it wasn't a larger issue (turned out to be just a beetle!). Property is super conveniently located for all the Maui activities you want to do and there's a huge park right at the property that you can hang out to watch sunset.

Great value & would stay again

We really enjoyed our stay! We were here for a week and loved the area and Maui Sunset. Steve was responsive and helpful. We arrived late at night so it was a bit confusing to figure out where to go— look for “A” sign entrance, there are 2 entrances, and the unit is in the middle right next to the elevator. We brought a sound machine and didn’t have any trouble sleeping, but I’m sure without it we would’ve heard the people in the hallways and getting on/off the elevator. At one time this unit was probably an ocean view but the palm trees are so tall that they block the ocean. You can still hear it though and it’s a very short walk to the beach. The VRBO included everything you could need and more. The beach chairs and umbrella were in great condition, there are boogie boards, bamboo blankets, towels and a couple of kids sand toys as well. Some people complained of the smell of the washer, but we washed some clothes in there and they did not smell at all. The only complaint I have is the a/c units shut off after 4 hours so you may wake up hot in the middle of the night. Many other vrbo places don’t even have a/c and this place does. They also have several appliances and Netflix on the tv (you have to login). The main bedroom bed is comfortable— though a bit small for 2 people unless you’re small. You can feel the springs on the pull out couch but my husband still thought it was comfortable. The other pull out twin bed was very comfortable as well. Overall we were very pleased and would be happy to stay here again when we return to Maui!

Nice place in a great location!

This property was clean and very functional. It perfectly accommodated our group of 5, with beautiful views of palm trees and sunset. Fabulous views of fireworks on NYE from balcony! We also really liked the location in Kihei, close to many good restaurants and beaches.

A very nice well appointed one bedroom condo. We enjoyed the location of Maui Sunset resort and the layout and amenities of the property. A view of the property and the ocean from the lanai was great morning and evening. The condo unit was updated and well appointed with everything you need. The beach chairs, body boards and umbrella was a bonus for going to the beach. We would definitely recommend this condo.
