Welcome to our relaxed Maui retreat, a private ground-floor corner studio surrounded by tropical greenery and just across the street from a peaceful, family-friendly beach.

This is the kind of place we love coming back to after a day exploring the island: comfortable, easy, quiet, and close to the ocean without the scale or formality of a large resort.

Start the morning with coffee on the lanai while listening to the birds, wander across the street for an early beach walk, or look for sea turtles along the shoreline. During whale season, you may even spot humpback whales offshore. In the evening, head back toward the water for sunset before returning to your own little tropical corner.

The studio works especially well for couples, small families, and guests who want a comfortable home base for exploring Maui.

THE SPACE

Inside, we’ve tried to keep everything simple, comfortable, and practical.

The studio has a king-size bed and a queen-size sleeper sofa, making it a good fit for couples or small families. For families traveling with a baby or toddler, we provide a Pack ’n Play so you can leave one less bulky item at home.

A/C keeps the studio comfortable during warm afternoons, and the open layout makes it easy to settle in whether you’re staying for a quick getaway or a longer vacation.

Fast WiFi at approximately 700 Mbps makes the studio convenient for remote work, video calls, streaming, or uploading photos after a day out. There is also a 42” TV with Apple TV.

FULL KITCHEN

The kitchen is fully equipped for breakfasts, snacks, or dinner at home and includes a full-size refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, blender, rice cooker/steamer, toaster, pots and pans, dishes, glasses, silverware, and cooking essentials.

There is a small dining area inside, but when the weather is nice, our favorite place to eat is outside on the lanai.

YOUR TROPICAL LANAI

The private lanai is one of our favorite parts of the studio. Because this is a ground-floor corner unit, it opens toward lush tropical landscaping and has a peaceful, tucked-away feel.

You’ll be surrounded by palms, tropical flowers, banana plants, and a lemon tree. It’s a lovely place for morning coffee, breakfast outside, reading in the afternoon, or relaxing after returning from the beach.

The ground-floor location also makes coming and going especially easy. There are no stairs to navigate when carrying luggage, groceries, beach gear, or a sleepy child.

THE BEACH

One of the best parts of staying here is how easy it is to get to the ocean. Instead of packing up the car every time you want to go to the beach, you can simply grab a towel and walk across the street.

The nearby shoreline is quieter and more relaxed than many of Maui’s larger resort beaches. It’s a wonderful place for an early walk, a quick afternoon visit, or watching the sunset at the end of the day.

A historic Hawaiian fishpond along the shoreline adds a unique sense of place and offers a glimpse into the island’s cultural history. Sea turtles are often seen along Maui’s shoreline, and during whale season the surrounding waters become especially exciting as humpback whales return to the islands.

Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, of course, but being this close to the ocean means there is always something interesting to look for.

BEACH GEAR INCLUDED

We keep a selection of beach gear available for guests so you don’t need to bring everything from home. This generally includes beach chairs, an umbrella, beach towels, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, a beach bag, beach mat, and small cooler.

It makes spontaneous beach trips much easier, especially with kids. Grab a few things, walk across the street for an hour, come back for lunch, and head out again later.

You’ll also have many other beaches to explore around Maui, from calm swimming areas to snorkeling spots, long sandy beaches, surf breaks, and quieter stretches of shoreline.

POOL, HOT TUB, TENNIS & BBQ

If you don’t feel like going anywhere, there is plenty to enjoy right at the property.

Guests have access to a swimming pool, hot tub, tennis court, BBQ area, shared laundry facilities, and free parking.

The pool is great for cooling off after a day of exploring or for an easy afternoon close to home. The hot tub is especially nice in the evening after hiking, snorkeling, or spending the day around the island.

We also provide tennis rackets if you’d like to play. The BBQ area gives you another easy dinner option. Pick up something simple to grill, eat outside, and enjoy a slower evening without needing another restaurant reservation.

EASY LAUNDRY

The shared laundry room is conveniently located immediately next door to the studio. This is especially useful for longer stays and families.

You can put in a load and head back to the lanai instead of carrying clothes through a large resort complex. It also makes it easier to pack light and wash swimsuits, beach clothes, and towels during your stay.

GREAT FOR YOUNG FAMILIES

We’ve tried to make the studio particularly easy for parents traveling with young children.

The ground-floor location means there are no stairs to deal with while carrying a child, stroller, groceries, or beach gear. We provide a Pack ’n Play, and the kitchen makes breakfasts, snacks, bottles, and early dinners much easier.

Having the beach so close also means you don’t have to make every beach visit into a major excursion. If the kids are tired after an hour, it’s easy to come home. The pool gives you another simple activity without needing to drive anywhere, and the lanai provides a comfortable outdoor space when you want a quieter afternoon.

REMOTE WORK

If your Maui trip includes a little work, the studio is set up well for that too.

The internet connection is approximately 700 Mbps, making it suitable for video calls, remote work, streaming, and uploading large files. You can finish a morning meeting, step outside for a beach walk at lunch, and watch the sunset when the workday is over.

EXPLORING MAUI

The studio makes an easy home base for exploring the island.

Spend one day snorkeling and swimming, another visiting Haleakalā, another exploring Upcountry, and another discovering waterfalls, scenic lookouts, farms, and small towns.

There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, grocery stores, bakeries, food trucks, shops, and casual places to eat within a short drive. Nearby beaches range from family-friendly stretches of sand to popular snorkeling and surf areas.

You’re also within easy reach of beautiful resort beaches, coastal walking paths, golf courses, shopping, and restaurants. Head toward the harbor and you’ll find snorkeling cruises, whale-watching trips, fishing excursions, and boat tours.

Maui Ocean Center is another fun option for families or for a day when you want a break from the sun. Nature lovers can explore wetlands, birdwatching areas, hiking trails, volcanic landscapes, farms, and dramatic mountain scenery throughout the island.

Whether you want an active trip or plan to spend most of your time by the water, it’s easy to build each day around whatever you feel like doing.

PARKING & ARRIVAL

Free on-site parking is included with your stay. Parking is conveniently located near the studio, and the ground-floor entrance makes arrival straightforward. Park, bring your bags inside, and start relaxing.

To help us assist guests with smooth arrivals and any access questions at check-in, there is a small camera (no sound) above the front door facing only the outside entry area. There are no cameras anywhere inside the unit.

GUEST ACCESS

Guests have private access to the entire studio and lanai, along with the shared swimming pool, hot tub, tennis court, BBQ area, laundry room, and on-site parking.

The studio is located within a residential condominium community, so we ask guests to be considerate of neighbors and observe community rules and quiet hours.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

Maui is warm throughout the year, but weather can vary significantly depending on which part of the island you are visiting. One of the interesting things about Maui is that it can be sunny by the coast while clouds are sitting over the mountains at exactly the same time.

The ocean is also constantly changing. A beach that looks calm one day can have different waves, tides, wind, or currents the next, so please pay attention to posted warnings and local conditions.

Whale activity is seasonal, and wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Beach equipment is provided as a convenience for guests. Individual items may occasionally be unavailable because of normal wear, damage, or replacement between stays.

WHY WE LOVE IT HERE

What we love most is that the studio gives you the feeling of having your own small Maui home.

You can wake up near the ocean without being surrounded by a huge hotel. You have your own kitchen. You can eat breakfast outside in the garden. You can walk to the beach without getting into the car. You can spend the day exploring and come back somewhere quiet.

Some mornings you may watch the water for whales. Other mornings you may spot a turtle near shore. Some days you may leave early for an island adventure and not return until sunset.

And sometimes the best plan is no plan at all: coffee, beach, pool, food, sunset, repeat.
