Great location! Only 200 steps to KAM II beach, great for families!

Location, location, location! This stylish, clean, newly remodeled condo at Kihei Kai Nani is just 200 steps to Kamaole II beach which is considered one of the top 3 beaches in Kihei! The condo is on the top floor directly across from the pool. It sleeps 6 with a Queen size sofa bed, Full size Murphy bed and a King size bed in the bedroom. There is also a spacious lanai with a peek-a-boo ocean view, perfect for meals, drinks and beautiful sunsets!
Please be aware that the condo is 512sqft and more than 4 guests is a tight fit but doable for families or those that don’t mind being cozy! Please adjust your expectations accordingly or consider a larger unit. The base price is for 4 people with a charge of $10/person per night for more than 4. Please also be aware that there is no elevator and there are 2 flights (25 steps) of exterior stairs to the front door.

This was a nice location and the listing was accurate. The newer bathroom shower and unlimited hot water was great. The quiet neighbors and location were nice. Pool was cleaned often and well- albeit smaller but pictures show that. The extra beach gear was great. We had terrible and unprecedented weather that was not the host’s fault; it also caused a power and water outage and internet was only accessible on the last date. Again, not the fault of the host. The only critique was timeliness of responses during the outages, it would have been better to have the host tell me about timelines vs me having to look up the electric and water companies, etc. It took longer than expected to get replies. We couldn’t use the beaches but again not the fault of the host. Nice balcony with a view of lot and trees.

First, the host, Bonnie, was fantastic. From booking through checkout, communication was easy and prompt. We had a few questions along the way and she always responded quickly and helpfully, which made the entire experience smooth and stress-free.You truly can’t beat the location.. just a short walk to Kamaole II Beach and within walking distance to several great restaurants and shops. Being so close to the beach made it perfect for our family. The complex itself is quiet, the neighbors are friendly, and we always felt comfortable and at ease.The condo is quaint, very clean, and thoughtfully stocked with just about everything you could need. I appreciated all the little extras like chopsticks, a coffee scoop, a crock pot, and even hair tools! There were plenty of beach chairs and some snorkeling gear on the lanai as well. We rented an umbrella online for under 10 from Aunty’s in the nearby plaza, which was super convenient. Having a washer and dryer in the unit (with detergent provided) was a huge bonus and honestly made me wish I had packed lighter!We traveled with our kids (14 and 12), and they slept comfortably in the living room (one on the Murphy bed and one on the sofa bed). Just a note for families, there are no window coverings in the living room, so it does get bright early in the morning. However, a large tree outside provides good privacy for the unit overall.We would not hesitate to book again! P.S. - If you stay, don't forget to sign the guest book!

The unit is small, but managed to have everything we needed. AC only in one room (see note) Beds were comfortable and the bedding is high quality. The location really can't be beat. Great coffee right next door. Easy walk to the beaches, restaurants, and shops.Notes:1. AC--There is only an AC unit in the common room where the sofa bed and Murphy bed are. There is no AC in the Master BR. We were able to get good airflow with the fans during the day so it was fairly comfortable at night... Except for the first night because it had been closed up all day.2. Privacy--There are no shades in the common room where the two extra beds are, so we felt a bit exposed.

Such a convenient place to stay, we love Kihei Kai Nani! Unit was clean and very well equipped. Lots of towels and bedding and everything we needed. Appreciated all the beach stuff as well. We would definitely stay here again!

felt a little fooled by the listing

Pros: plenty of hot water, central location steps away from the beach, nice quiet patio to enjoy coffee and breakfast in the morning. Owners are quick to respond and helpful. Check-in was very easy. Cons: the maintenance of this space was clearly bare minimum. We felt a little fooled by the listing. We specifically booked this space because of the abundance of beach equipment pictured, however, once we arrived most of the equipment was broken, and some equipment listed were not available in the unit. The unit itself was quite dirty; and I want to emphasize that it is NOT because of the cleaning staff, but rather because detailed care of this space has not been maintained. It is clear that there are back to back bookings with minimal maintenance, and owners live out of state. Next time I stay in Maui, I will book at a hotel, at least there would be a front desk to complain to, rather than the complaints being put on the cleaning staff (it's not their fault). The bed needs updating, it is clearly well used, and the frame is not sturdy. Overall, I'd give the space a 2.5 out of 5 stars. There is also no blinds in the front space, so whoever sleeps on the sofa beds have no privacy. It was just myself and my husband so we did not have this issue. Overall, it did not negatively impact our time in Maui, but we were disappointed in the space and felt fooled by the listing.

Lovely rental!

Our family of 6 (myself, spouse, our two young adult kids, and our two teenagers) had a wonderful time in this rental! Yes, it was tight, but we've been in smaller hotel rooms...it's all perspective and the location cannot be beat! Opening up all of the windows created an amazing breeze and using the patio as an extension of the place gave it a fun vibe. We really appreciated the washer/dryer in the unit and the availability of beach umbrella, chairs, and wagon. The beach really is right across the street (as well as shopping and eateries) and not having to find a parking spot daily to enjoy the beach makes this property worth every penny. We would absolutely stay here again!

Fantastic location - everything you need

Had a wonderful stay, this condo had everything you would need to have a great visit to Maui. To me the highlight is the location, great walking access to restaurants and a lovely grocery store and beaches. Would highly recommend for 2 people, I think potentially could be a bit snug for more than that but you could make it work! Great host, lovely place

Excellent Location in the middle of the Kihei town

For any vacation - staying in the right location makes a lot of difference. This place was just that. Right in front of KAM 2 beach and easily accessible to all the food options. Bonnie was very communicative and the apartment had everything we needed including beach toys and a wagon to lug our stuff to the beach. We will be staying again on our next visit to Maui.

Perfect Location

This condo is perfectly located across from a family friendly beach. You can rent paddle boards and beach gear right out front too. Restaurants are very close. As a solo parent, this made the trip so much easier. Also, the condo had lots of beach gear!

Wonderful Spot for a quiet holiday!

This condo is in a fantastic location, so close to the beach and the complexes pool. Beautifully decorated and fully stocked with everything you need. We were very impressed with everything! The back deck is very private, and quiet. We would definitely stay here again!

Our original stay in Maui got canceled last minute unexpectedly. We were able to reserve this place on very short notice. The condo is clean and well appointed. We traveled with 2 of our grandsons, 9 and 11. They had a blast. We did too. Kam Beach 2 is really nice and a very short walk away.

Maui November 2023

I have nothing but great things to say about Bonnie. She answered immediately any questions we had prior to our trip, and also during our stay. The unit was very well appointed and we lacked nothing for our family of five. Tommy Bahama beach chairs, beach wagon, and umbrella was used a lot, although we did not use the surf boards supplied. The AC in the living room and the fan in the bedroom was more than enough to maintain a cool environment. Our family with 3 teens fit comfortably, although not a lot of room to move when the Murphy bed and sofa bed were down (which were Uber comfortable!) it was only for a short period of time sleeping. With TVs in the bedroom and living room, the teens were very happy with their gaming. We were very happy with the large deep pool, the beach across the road, as well as the nearby restaurants and shopping strip outside our gates. We would have no problem staying here again next time we are in Maui.

Great location!

Our family of 5 loved this property! Just steps from the pool and the beach! Everything we needed for our beach days was provided (chairs, cooler, wagon, beach towels, umbrella, etc…) We loved walking to the beach with our morning coffee, as well as watching the sunset- so close! Having a washer/dryer was so nice as well. Also, just down the street, there is an “Actvities” booth, where you can book fun things to do from a very knowledgeable guy. Very convenient!
