180 Marsh Hawk has a great, classic feel and is situated on the Kiawah River to provide you with incredible marsh and river views. This charming home provides a warm and inviting space for outdoor entertaining and soaking in sunsets over the marsh. Kids have tons of nature to explore, and you'll love the open living space for its flood of natural light and welcoming atmosphere. Whether it's family game night at the large dining room table, or an evening stroll under a canopy of stars, this beautiful property has all the comforts and tranquility of a well-loved home.

The West Beach Marsh View Observation Tower is just a few steps away. Check out Cougar Point Golf Course next door, or take the bike out for a leisurely ride down miles of paved scenic trails that wind along the island. Foodies can try out some local fare at favorites such as Loggerhead Grill, just under two miles away, or Hege's, less than four miles away. Heron Park Nature Center is an easy mile and a half drive, and, of course, the beach and boardwalks are all within a mile of your door. Things to know: Free WiFi,Gas Grill, Outdoor Shower, Full Kitchen, Fireplace not for guest use. Bedding for 8 includes a king and three total queen beds.

When you stay with ESPM for 3-21 nights you will receive a valuable credit of up to $280 (amount dependent on length of stay) to use toward beach gear, bikes, etc. Credit may not be available for last minute bookings, 48 hours notice is required.

Access to Kiawah's 5 Championship Golf Courses – including The Ocean Course – the location of the 2021 PGA Championship; The Kiawah Island Resort Tennis Center - #1 ranked by Tennis Resorts Online; the Sanctuary spa, shopping, dining, and family friendly resort activities including Kamp Kiawah. Free Wireless Internet Access; Local Property Management staff is on hand in case of emergencies and their friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff can assist you with any needs throughout your stay. Property does have linen included. Additional housekeeping services are also available during your stay. Guests DO NOT have access to the resort pools (Night Heron Park, West Beach, or Tennis Club). If you have the time take a short trip (35-45 Minutes) to Charleston, America's most charming southern city. There you'll find world class dining, shopping and lots of history to explore.

Upon booking you will be sent a rental agreement to review and complete online. Your booking is not confirmed until this document has been submitted.

Family time

Everything was perfect. A really quiet area and can do lots of walks. The beach is a 15 minute walk.Saw some wildlife from the back patio. This was our second time here.

Marsh, Sky and Sand!

I've been to Kiawah multiple times and this is the first time I have stayed directly on the marsh. I also traveled with three folks who have never been.....the feeling was mutual...it was beautiful! Peaceful and magnificent views: dolphins and birds in the mornings, stars at night - so many stars! Location was convenient to the beach, golf, trails, shopping, restaurants. Overlooking the marsh made the location feel secluded even though there are houses right next door. House was great for cooking, game night, evenings and mornings on the deck. We would stay here again!

Kiawah Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kiawah! We’ve been coming here for many years and the view of the Marsh from this house was spectacular! We also loved the location since it was close to Freshfields. The check-in process was one of the easiest yet.

Super location on marsh side of island

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in Nov. Great open layout in upstairs living/eating/kitchen area but home still has a warm, comfortable feel. Amazing marsh views along entire back of home. Kitchen is nice and large and well stocked. All bedrooms are downstairs, two are on back/marsh side of home with great views out of windows. We prefer a queen bed and stayed in that room, mattress is comfortable. Shared bath between queen bedroom and twin bedroom. King bedroom has private bath. Home is located close to first gate on a cul de sac. We commented many times on how quiet it was, inside and out. The first lookout tower is >5 min walk and you will notice the traffic noise increase as you walk that way. The house is tucked in in such a way to shelter it from those sounds, a blessing. It took us about 15 min to walk to the beach. It is an easy walk. The bike ride to beach was proabably 5-10 min. We would definitely stay here again. This little street is a hidden gem!

Peaceful & comfortable family vacation spot

180 Marsh Hawk was a great for our family of 6. The open floor plan affords amazing views of the marsh from all around. We saw dolphins going by on our last morning. You can bike or walk to beach access #10 in a matter of minutes (less than a mile). The floor plan is 'flipped' with all of the bedrooms downstairs. Well air-conditioned and quiet. All things related to the rental process were idiot-proof and ESPM & the property manager were extremely responsive to a couple of questions we had while there. While not advertised, there are fun amenities in the front shed (boogie board, skim board, some nice chairs). Thanks for a terrific week!

Great location, clean, but multiple amenities are in need of service/repair.

TL;DR PROS: quiet, comfy beds, great A/C, great views, proximity to beach, trails, golf... CONS: outdated amenities on lower level, broken dishwasher, leaky washing machine, freezer/refrigerator needs to be serviced (doesn't freeze!). While this was our first stay w/ ESPM properties, it was not our first stay on Kiawah Island (we've actually stayed at multiple houses on the same street). The house's location is great (very quiet, overlooks the beautiful salt marsh, a 10ish minute walk to the beach, close to the bike path and golf course) and it is perfectly adequate for a family of 4-5. Given the limited availability of rentals this year (and price increases...), we were totally fine w/ some of this property's outdated elements (the upstairs is fine, but the downstairs space, particularly the bathrooms, could use updating given the price point). That said, during our weeklong stay, several appliances did not work which was annoying. The dishwasher did not turn on, the washing machine leaked, and the freezer did not work adequately (it could make ice cubes but all other items would not freeze... ice cream was reduced to milkshakes! Nooo!). Given our stay at the height of tourist season, ESPM could not get a repair person in until a few days after our departure... I will say that ESPM was VERY responsive and even offered to have a person come to the house to do dishes, etc. due to the issues noted above. That said, we did not feel comfortable w/ random people in our "home" on vacation so we declined their kind offer. Basically, from a utilitarian standpoint, this is a wonderful property for a family (quite comfortable, actually). But if any of the above problems would be an issue for you, I'd recommend confirming that ALL appliances work prior to booking... In spite of the issues, we had a nice stay, but we'll look at other properties next time.

Quiet Family Getaway

Very pleasant getaway with our two kids. The marsh view was something to behold - we felt like we were on a birding safari of sorts gazing at the marshland expanse. Bikes made quick jaunts to nearby beach pleasurable. Thanks for a nice stay.

The house was clean and beautiful with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The views were amazing. Renting the house was easy. Responses to questions I had prior to the stay were prompt.

Great, easy stay

We booked a last minute stay and the process was very simple. From the moment we reserved, communication was easy (all via email or text), check-in and gate pass instructions were clear, and we arrived with no issues. The house is a bit smaller than the photos and we were surprised to find all bedrooms on the lower level, but the house was clean, very suitable for four adults, and the views are - as the listing advertises - amazing. While we traveled with many of our own “things” and didn’t use much of the starter pack items, the house was well appointed with those items as well. If you’re looking for a comfortable, easy stay, this is definitely a great place to consider.

Amazing stay on Kiawah

We have visiting Kiawah Island for several years and have stayed in many very nice places but this is our favorite. The location is great and the marsh views from the patio and sunroom are amazing. The property is beautiful and well maintained but the best part is the owner... Susan is a great communicator and definitely an action lady. Had a couple minor issues and questions that were handled immediately. Could not ask for more. We booked this property for our next visit...

Great stay on Kiawah!

Property had everything we needed. Loved having the stuff for the beach so we didn’t have to rent. Check in was a breeze and the location could not be beat. Amazing view to wake up to each morning. Easy drive to Charleston if you want to do some things off the island. Overall lovely stay, we will definitely be back!

Great Family Trip

This house was perfect for me, my mother and my 3 children (14, 11 and 8). The 2.5 baths was great for the 5 of us. We took several trip out to the beach which the kids loved (if you head back out to the stop sign, turn right then cross the main road and keep going straight to the dead end, you will run right into the middle of two beach accesses). We turned to the right and parked on the right. Beach wasn’t busy in April but that may change come summer. Ate at an amazing diner called Betty’s Eatery in Mount Pleasant and had the best breakfast ever (with mimosas). Okay, back to the house. Beds were comfortable and plenty of blankets for everyone. AC worked great and we actually had to turn it off a couple times because it was too cool. Cookware and dinnerware was plenty for us. However, it looks like some guests may have used metal utensils on the non stick ware so those are in pretty rough shape. The only suggestion I could make is a Keurig or Keurig type coffee maker. With just my mom and I drinking coffee in the morning it would have been nice to avoid the waste of left over coffee. The view over the marsh was great, especially at sun down. We love the quiet of Kiawah and would definitely stay in this house again!

Excellent choice for family vacation!

This home worked perfectly for our family, two daughters, spouses and one grandson. It has three separate sleeping areas for privacy as well as several comfy spots to relax inside and out. The large dining table was great for family meals and games, and the large, open kitchen nearby was fun to cook in, too. It's a pleasant walk to the beach or there are handy parking spaces nearby if you want to get there more quickly. We also enjoyed being able to see the grazing horses close by and our grandson had fun feeding them apples and carrots. We hope to be able to enjoy this property in future years.
