Penthouse Condo in River Run Village with Slope Views & Short Walk to Gondola

This spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom penthouse, corner unit condo sleeps 6 with two king beds and a queen sleeper sofa. **New paint throughout and new flooring in kitchen, living room, and bathrooms.** It features slope views from the private balcony and vaulted ceilings. Premium linens throughout. Top floor, corner unit location ensures a quiet stay. Centrally located in River Run Village so you’re just steps away from shopping, restaurants and festivities. Plus, you're a short walk from the high-speed gondola. Dakota Lodge offers shared amenities including the largest pool in Keystone with slope views and two oversized hot tubs. And it's next to Dercum Square that features an ice rink during winter and a mini golf course during the summer.

The entryway offers mounted hooks and a bench for your convenience while coming and going throughout the day. The living area has a Smart TV mounted above a beautiful gas fireplace. Enjoy the cozy sectional that includes a queen-sized, memory foam sleeper sofa. Extra linens are in a closet. Unique stair-step windows provide natural light and slope views. The private balcony is just off the main living area and features slope views to the south.

The full-sized kitchen is stocked with all the essential cookware and tableware to make a meal away from home and features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The dining area comfortably seats six around a beautiful wood table. The first of two full bathrooms is just off of the living area and has a single sink vanity and a shower/tub combination. All bathrooms are stocked with towels and an initial supply of toiletries.

The primary suite features a new king-sized top rated memory gel bed (2021 model) and a flat screen TV. The en suite bathroom has double sinks and a door separates the shower/tub combination and toilet area for added privacy. The second bedroom features a king-sized bed and a mounted flat screen TV. Both bedrooms offer mountain and slope views.

Please note: To reserve this property, the reservation holder must be at least 24 years old at the time of booking.

Overall, the place was as-listed and just wonderful. Clean, cozy, and close to all our favorite Keystone shopping, dining and eating places.The check-in process however was a nightmare. We never got the pre-check in emails (and yes, we checked all emails, spam folders, etc). Text or call this host or VRBO itself, WEEKS in advance DURING BUSINESS HOURS ONLY if you want info about how to get in. Keystone has no one on staff for you to talk to in the unlucky event you get there after 5 like we did. As of Sep 2025 the number listed for the host is wrong, we got a text back from a random person saying we had the wrong number. We finally got in touch with someone from the company that owns this property an hour after being on the phone with VRBO helpdesk.
We were there during the color change!

Beautiful place to stay has a great heated pool and two heated Jacuzzis outside first time to stay in this penthouse but I have stayed on the first floor a couple times years back. I love the Dakota.

Beautiful Condo, Decent Stay

The condo was beautiful and true to the photos. I appreciated that they had carts for our bags at the elevator, but they do only have one elevator, just fyi if you are going to be there during peak season. We were there in off season and it was perfectly fine. We didn't know the pool and hot tub would be off limits for off season, it would have been nice for the listing to have mentioned that somewhere. We ended up going to the rec center about 20 mins away. I gave this four stars because there were just a few things that kept this from being a perfect stay. For example, the sleeper couch was broken the first night we arrived, two legs were broken off on the same side, so it was uneven and could not be used as a bed. It was fixed the next day but it did suck to not have access to it for one night. There was also no filtered water available in the condo, so you either have to drink the tap, which is very mineral heavy or go to the first floor and fill up a water bottle or jug. I think a Brita pitcher would go a long way in this rental. And finally, just small things like a small the water pressure, a small spot on a sheet or half dirty dishes in the cupboard. These things aren't that bad, just inconvenient. It was still very pretty and cozy.

Great place for two adult couples with 2 king beds!

Convenient location near the gondola. Great pool and hot tubs. The best part is 2 king beds and two full baths. It’s a bit crammed full of furniture. But overall we loved it. This was our second trip back.

Elevator and wifi not working.

Elevator was out of service with no warning prior to our arrival. Having 4 adults over the age of 55 carrying luggage up 5 flights of stairs was not easy at 9200 feet. We did get a text the day after saying the elevator was not working ugh! I realize this is not the condo owners' fault. The condo was clean and very nice but none of us could get wifi from the password that was given to us.
