Amazing!!
Just returned home from our 3 night, 4 day vacation at the Candice House. The trip was for my sons college graduation from UNE in Biddeford ME but we had enough time to enjoy the surrounding areas of interest (shopping and eating in the Village and walking on the beach). The beach was so close and even the walk to it was gorgeous! The whole family got a kick out of the house with the fairy village in their yard. The Village offered a variety of shops to explore and we explored all of them. There were 4 adults, 3 children (ages 11-17), 1 infant and the family dog in our group (3 generations of our family) and the Candice House gave us plenty of room for everyone, it was perfectly set up. My 17 yr old son slept in the bedroom off the garage/game room and he was thankful to have some privacy from his younger family members. The pool table and ping-pong table were a huge hit and got used until the second we left. We enjoyed having coffee out on the deck every morning. The kids enjoyed all of the bikes and took occasional bike rides. Other than some rain late Saturday afternoon/night the weather was wonderful, nothing that kept us from keeping busy. It would be nice to return in the full swing of summer so the beach could be used for swimming but just walking it was equally as enjoyable! I definitely over-packed with household items (laundry det, dish det, paper towels, etc...) as this was my first time renting a whole house and Candice said just bring linens, dish towels and bath towels. I should have listened because that was all I needed to bring. The house has everything you could need with the exception of food, and I mean everything. There were even full bottles of body wash for men and women as well as laundry det and dryer sheets. There wasn't one room in the house that we didn't absolutely adore (the large bathroom with the Jacuzzi tub- awesome!) My husband is medically disabled and having the Jacuzzi helped keep him moving with less pain. I really could go on and on but I won't. If anyone is looking for a large, opened concept, well maintained, updated, clean home to unwind for a short or lengthy period of time, I highly recommend staying at the Candice House. My family did not want to leave and ALL of us agreed that we need to return as soon as possible. Next time we will stay longer though. Thank-you Candice Family!!
