Creekside Cottage cerca del lago de Daniel

Nuestro lugar está en un rincón único de Alaska. Este retiro tranquilo se encuentra en un entorno tranquilo en un arroyo de salmón / trucha adyacente al lago Daniel's. La casa de campo mide 900 pies cuadrados y está completamente amueblada con una cama tamaño queen en una habitación y una litera completa / doble en una habitación semiprivada. Hay una cocina completamente funcional y una lavadora y secadora para su uso.

Daniels Lake es el lago más grande al norte de Kenai, y soporta una población saludable de trucha arco iris, trucha Dolly Varden y dos salmones (tanto Sockeye como Silvers). Comenzando a fines de julio y agosto, los Sockeye hacen su viaje final desde el océano a sus áreas de desove en el Lago Daniel's. A fines de agosto y septiembre, los Silvers también corren por el pequeño arroyo detrás de la cabaña. Puedes ver cómo el salmón da el salto final desde la escalera de los peces hasta el lago, a solo unos pasos de la puerta principal. Esta migración trae las águilas y otros animales salvajes a la zona. Aunque el arroyo está cerrado a la pesca, el lago está abierto a la pesca deportiva durante todo el año. Una canoa está disponible para su uso, y el asesoramiento es gratis!

El área de Nikiski también cuenta con excelentes playas, el Centro de Recreación de la Península Norte, (Piscina de Nikiski), el Parque Estatal Captain Cook, numerosos lagos, arroyos y ríos para la pesca tanto en verano como en invierno, varias rutas de senderismo, recolección de bayas, esquí de fondo, raquetas de nieve y máquina de nieve,

Estamos tratando de preservar la experiencia de Alaska, creando un retiro de la tecnología. Toma un sorbo de café o té en la terraza mientras escuchas el susurro del arroyo y las águilas cercanas. Tenemos una población residente de águilas con varios nidos cerca. Loons llamarán desde el lago y Moose también son visitantes frecuentes.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful, we had such a fantastic time! The property was spotless, well-equipped, and had everything we needed. Getting here was a breeze thanks to your straightforward directions. Our favorite part? The backyard oasis! We spent evenings by the fire pit and loved watching the fish in the peaceful creek. We’ll definitely be back- Highly recommend!

We had the pleasure of staying at Creekside Cottage for two nights, July 2nd and July 3rd. The property is beautiful and peaceful. The owners were beyond helpful and gracious. We would absolutely recommend this property to our family and friends. If we ever visit the area again, we will most definitely stay there. We cannot say enough good things about the hosts and the property. If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful and enjoyable place to stay, Creekside Cottage is the absolute best.

Awesome cottage!

Such a nice and cozy stay! Perfect for our family of 3. Especially loved the baby gate for the top of the stairs! The porch over looks the creek and we loved keeping the door open to hear it. Owner was so kind and thoughtful. Definitely saved this place on our list of places to return to.

This cottage has everything you need. Neat clean and well stocked. There is a beautiful little creek in the back with salmon still in it. Had bald eagles visit daily. Went kayaking across the street. Also was nice and quiet. The host was super. Communicated very well with us. You need to add this place to your places to go to.

Clean cozy cabin in the woods with stream

We love staying at the cabin with a stream and peaceful woods. I even hopped in the canoe and turned circles on the lake on a windy night. The beds were comfy and the place was spotless with so many personal touches. We forgot to sign the cute little guest book, which I am sad about. We also broke the toilet seat somehow and they came and fixed it immediately. Very kind!

Absolutely Loved It!!!!

The Creekside Cottage was the perfect place for some rest and relaxation during a busy soccer weekend. The directions given were easy to follow. We were greeted at the door with a sweet welcome sign, easy check in process, very clean, organized and homey. It was a nice surprise to have waters already in the fridge and a wide variety of quick snacks. Extra blankets were available if needed. The creek right outside was the icing on the cake, our kids loved to watch the fish swim and jump the rocks on their journey. Wonderful experience and would highly recommend to anyone!

Great Place to stay!

This was a very nice place to stay! We were welcomed with a great sign on the front porch, which was a very nice touch! It was very comfortable and had everything we needed and wanted!! There were even some really nice amenities like hot chocolate, tea, coffee, instant oatmeal, granola bars, etc. which were very appreciated! They even had games and plenty of things to read about what to do in the area. There were binoculars there to use, which were great when we had the mama moose and her baby right next to the property. The stream in the back and lake across the street were really nice! We saw 1 salmon trying to make her way back to the lake! We enjoyed the canoe which was provided as well. The owner even stopped to help us carry it and put it into the water! The hosts were fantastic and were checking to see if we needed anything! It was also nice to have a place to do our laundry with everything provided. We enjoyed our stay here and felt very comfortable, like we were at home. Lisa even provided us with some lists of things that we might like to do. It was a very nice stay! I know you will enjoy it too! It is a long way to the other side of the Peninsula though!

This cozy Creekside cottage feels like a warm hug from heaven. This home helps you reset and recharge. Nestled in the woods creating a quiet, peaceful place to rest. I definitely felt at home in this home and would highly recommend staying here. It is extremely clean and organized. We found everything we needed there; especially peace and quiet.

True taste of Alaska living

I styed one night at this property in mid-September. The hosts Lisa and Dan were super responsive and gave me great suggestions for supplies and food I would need for my fishing trip. Place was immaculate and well stocked. I got to watch the salmon swimming upstream in the back yard complete with a bald eagle in the tree top. Lake across the street was beautiful but unfortunately I did not have time to take the kayak out. Even saw the Northern lights when I left very early the next morning. Highly recommend this property

Splendid Home in the Woods

Really nothing negative to say about this place, as the hosts have created a wonderful vacation home in a great spot. The house was immaculate, and all that the listing says about the property is true. My husband and I were very happy to stay here, and I think a family with two kids who like the outdoors would love it (summer or winter due to the warm municipal pool with water slide not far away). We hope to return for a longer stay next summer.

Amazing!!

Could not say enough about how beautiful this place is, and how wonderful our host was. The fish running up the creek behind cabin, the beautiful lake, the eagles, loons… the wildlife was spectacular. Fishing the Swanson River, rock picking at Captain Cook Rex area.. just fantastic. Highly recommend!!

We loved everything about this property and Lisa was fabulous! The property was immaculate, the lake beautiful, Lisa went over and beyond in welcoming us with a super cute chalkboard poster on the front porch saying “welcome Sally and Dennis.” We will be sure to book with her again. Also her bed and sheets were oh so comfortable.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. We were able to see hundreds of large salmon migrating up the small creek while relaxing on the deck. We highly recommend this cottage.
