"Very disappointing. I paid £98 for a very basic twin room for 1 night. Only 1 bed was made up and room was clean but very dated, and the property and grounds have seen better days and are overall quite scruffy. No TV in room but was told I could watch TV downstairs if I wanted to. The shower didn't work properly - either scalding hot or dribbled out cold water. Sink took ages to drain, noisy radiator. "Quiet accommodation for good rest after a sports event I spent two nights in The Tavern in Alnwick to participate in a marathon race. The accommodation is in the centre of the town, on top of a pub, but it was very quiet, even though it was a weekend. The staff was friendly and helpful. Despite arriving late on a Friday evening, and the kitchen was about to close, they still prepared something for dinner for me, which was much appreciated after my long journey.
