This is an end unit, two story condo with no units above, and it was in an excellent ocean-front location. Just a 4-5 minute walk along the Kapalua Coastal Trail to the world class beach at Kapalua Bay, and 3-4 min walk to the beach at Oneloa Bay. The unit was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The upper NW coast of Maui is very laid back and uncrowded -- as compared to the more touristy areas around Kaanapali.

Perfect location

The location was unbeatable. The property was clean and check in and out was seamless. The views from the bedroom were amazing. We were here for a wedding and it was walking distance away. Just perfect.

Bedroom ocean view was lovely and tranquil..nice view from living room and porch as well. Beds was very comfortable. Kitchen had all the things needed. 2 bathrooms was a plus. Felt safe and relaxed in this location. Hiking area beautiful and challenging. Grounds very well kept. Great location for fun things to do, dining and golf! Stairs getting to unit and in unit, nice railings and stable footing. Was a plus for me with fitness in mind, might not be for everyone.

Beautiful Condo with Stunning Ocean View

This condo is beautiful and recently renovated. It is directly on the ocean in Kapalua with stunning views of the ocean snd big waves breaking on the volcanic rocky shore. The property also is adjacent to hiking trails and waliking distance to multiple beaches.

Kapalua Paradise

Beautiful villa with breath taking views. Very private and secure. All appliances, utensils, condiments etc there for your convenience. There are stairs down to the front door and up to the bedroom so keep that in mind. Less than 10 min walk to one of Hawaii’s most beautiful beaches (Oneola/Ironwood) Would definitely stay in Bay Villas again.

Nice clean rental.

Very nice condo, unfortunately the weather did not cooperate for our 10 night stay! Beautiful view but the rain caused dirty windows in the condo. Maybe we should have phoned the property managers as clean windows would have been a real plus. The condo was very nice with a large bedroom and all basic supplies provided.

Don't like being pushed out by 10:00 am since our flight is at 7:30 pm. Black mold on downstairs ac vent and upstairs drapes. Been staying in bay villas since 2011. Surprised this unit wasn't more updated. Stayed in same unit in 2011.

Beautiful Stay

We absolutely loved our Condo for our stay in Maui. I would definitely stay in the same Condo again. The view from the bedroom was amazing. We appreciated the cleanliness and the care in the house. My only nit picking is our gate code stopped working the evening before we left. We were coming back from dinner and could not get in with our code. We tried to call, but since it was almost 10pm, were unable to get ahold of anyone. Luckily we were able to eventually follow in another car. Thankfully that was possible, but other than that we very much enjoyed the stay and would recommend to friends and family.

Relaxing in paradise

This unit is wonderful. Plenty of space for my family of four (2 little ones) and the views from the bedroom are just breathtaking. We didn’t mind just hanging out and relaxing in bed and looking out because the scenery is so spectacular. A few things could use a little upgrading, but nothing major. The bed is comfy as are the chairs and cushions. The only downside is that you can only access the unit from a full set of stairs. Not a dealbreaker, but a bit of an inconvenience with a 3 year old and when having to move around luggage. Just be aware if you have difficulties with or can’t access stairs. Other than that, I would fully recommend this property and would stay again!

The condo management team was very organized and tentative to our comfort in the condo. The oceanfront location was nice and close to the beach, a 5 minute walk. Spectacular views from upstairs to watch the whales in the Maui channel !

Honest feedback

We have stayed in many VRBO and we have never been as disappointed and disgusted with a rental like this one. From seeing the deteriorating state of the front door to the chipped paint on walls, interior doors, the state of neglect with furniture, screens, blow dryer, stains on carpet and furniture, blinds and window treatments that are dirty and broken. We were appalled that a owners and property managers (in units we have rented from in past) would allow guests to pay good money for a poorly maintained, totally neglected and in disrepair unit .It’s unconscionable especially with a repeat renter. Clogged sink and inoperable disposal, deteriorating pots and pans, very few pieces of silverware, louvered windows were old, dirty and difficult to open. The window treatment in bedroom could not be open because it was broken. Needless to say, the neglected state of unit impacted our enjoyment of Kapalua. The only redeeming quality was the view. We only hope in the future that we are informed if a unit that we are renting from you is not up to expectations and standards that we are informed in advance. We are very disappointed that we are in a position to write this kind of feedback but more important that we had to pay for and experience on our vacation this kind of disrespect and disregard.

The best things: - the view of the ocean from the second floor - just steps away from the coastal trail - easy access to beaches - very well stocked with supplies - wonderful hiking around beaches and golf course Not so great things: - dirty windows spoiling the great view - very cheap appliances not worthy of a great property - needs renovations and updating - starting to look old - stains on carpets, sheets, etc.

Beautiful location/property. Management made it difficult.

We really loved the location and property- it was exactly what we were looking for and what we expected. We had recurring issues with the property management company. They couldn’t get us the gate code at arrival (we were literally stuck outside). Then the gate code worked for 24 hrs and had the same problem… 3 different times! It was rough. They were quick to respond but never resolved the issue- every time just sent us new codes that didn’t work. Another guest in ended up sharing their gate code with us. Just not the service we expected/needed… it’s the little things.

Please clean carpet and windows.

Great location with differed macitence on unit. Stains on carpet. Patio door handle very loose. Dirty windows

Beautiful view from bedroom

Kapalua Villas is our favorite place to stay on Maui. This unit was clean and a great location to walk to Kapalua and Napili Bay beaches. The condo had everything we needed in the kitchen, and they provided beach towels, chairs, and boogie boards. A short walk to Montage Spa as well. All in all we enjoyed our stay. This was our first time on a ground floor unit. It was nice to be right on the grass and sit on the porch in the morning watching the birds. The ground floor gets less wind so can be a little warmer but that was fine for us. I loved opening my eyes in the morning to the amazing big blue right out the bedroom window. The property managers were very responsive and communicative.

Kapalua Bay Villa 35G

Upside: location, view, updated kitchen and some of master bath, ease of check in. Downside: dirty carpets, A/C upstairs was weak (texted day 1 was told it was reported never heard back), front door warped and noisy to slam shut. Only two small beach towels provided.

An awesome place to see rainbows

The property management company Maui Paradise Properties did a great job keeping this place clean and stocked with all the amenities needed. We even have soup, body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided which usually are not available for vacation rentals. The condo itself is tastefully decorated with nice furniture. The kitchen is stocked with nice dinnerware and utensils. The whole apartment is over 1000 square feet with 2 stories. Comparing to some of the ocean front properties this one is definitely spacious especially the bathroom. Both bed and sofa bed are very comfortable. The pillow is a little big for me but I slept well. Both upstairs and downstairs have view of the ocean. Overall check in and check out process is quite easy. We love the Kapalua coastal trails which are just in front of the apartment. The Kapalua bay is only a 5 minutes walk and is great for snorkeling. During our stay the weather was very windy and stormy so we didn't get to enjoy too much of the trails. Summer might be a better season to visit this side of the island.

Perfect getaway!

We originally booked this unit coinciding with hurricane Douglas. Jan and her team rescheduled us without cost or hassle. They're amazing! The unit is ideally placed. Right on the lawn near the coastal trail. Views are amazing, the uau kane at twilight are ethereal, parking is convenient and the pool/bbq is close enough but also far away enough to avoid the sound of kids screaming and enjoying themselves. The unit is a bit dated but so are we; it was a perfect fit! We will definitely be repeat visitors as long as this villa is available to rent.
