The room was not clean, cobwebs, clogged bath tub, dirty pillow case, dirty floors, ceiling fans growing fur. This was a condo not obtained thru Pono Kai direct so it was not serviced by Pono Kai.

Unit review

Love the location of the property. Unit itself is due for some upgrades. Bed was comfortable, but because there is no air conditioning in the bedroom, I had to sleep on the couch for it to be cool enough.

Not a nice place - don't recommend

it was a dump and super hot in the bedroom, 3 forks in kitchen, the bath and kitchen not very clean and the entire kitchen leaves a lot to the imagination, needs help. if you saw up close pics, you would laugh, peeling stick on's, uneven and tired and old. The staff that came to help was a few days later and gave us a fan that didn't do much, i ended up purchasing a fan at Walmart that worked. that place is way too expensive for what you get. Thankfully it was only a week. The staff that came to assist was super nice and helpful, but the owner really needs to update that place and do a deep clean!

Almost...

Pretty typical rental with adequate amenities. Unit was clean and located near beach, restaurants and shopping. There is a good deal of noise from other units as mentioned in other reviews but not so much as to change rating. Staff was pleasant and responsive. Overall, a reasonable unit for the price.

Anniversary Vacation

We stayed six nights at this property to celebrate our anniversary. It was clean and a very large, end unit. Being first floor wasn't too bad, but the person above was rather loud at all times of day and night. The outside chickens/roosters were not an issue. You could occasionally hear them. We were missing the lounge chair, which would have been nice. Looks like all other units had one. All basic supplies were available and we enjoyed the complimentary treats that were left for us. Other resort activities (hot tub, hammocks, croquet, lawn games) were nice to have on relaxing days.

Excellent location

Nice open floor plan, excellent location for easy access to the rest of the island. Couldn’t have any food out on the lanai due to the number of chickens. Grounds and beach access were wonderful. Enjoyed our stay would come back again!

My wife needs to work when we travel And it was impossible to connect to herVPN , the speed of the internet that the owner pays for is to slow. Also noise from above was really bad

We really enjoyed the ground floor Lanai and the location to the beach walk and bike ride ! Only 2 complaints . A lot of sound transfer from neighbor above and couch quite saggy

Our stay.

Easy process checking in to the room and at the front desk. Space is really comfortable and feels just like home. We were welcomed with island snacks and a sweet fresh pineapple along with other goodies. Area is in a convenient spot surrounded by amazing places to eat. Would highly recommend staying here.

Unit J101 is not what I would consider a “condo”. It is basically an extended-stay suite.

Disappointed. Terrible excuse for furniture. One horribly uncomfortable couch was it. Bed pillows were like rocks. Though the people upstairs were doing nothing unusual, it sounded like a herd of cattle from them simply walking across the floor. Unit J101 should not be marketed as a condo. It was more like a motel suite.

The dirtiest place I have ever stayed

This room was terrible , it smelt , it was literally dirty , the floors , the walls , the carpet! I would never rent this place again . We actually took the mattress out of bedroom and slept in living room next to screen door where we could get air from the smell and not have to sleep in the dark , dirty bedroom . We rented on 4th of July so finding some other place to stay was nearly impossible. Thank goodness we had family staying in near by condos so we did not have to spend a lot of time in this unit . Very poor un keep , dirty , dated , even the drapes were a dirty shabby mess !

Locked out

About half way through our trip someone came and changed our door code with no notice. My dad was locked out on our patio for 4 hours!! They called my cell phone and left me a message after changing the code. I was out enjoying the island and didn't see the missed call until hours later. When I called to ask why they would change the locks the lady was super defensive saying she was just doing her job. I asked to have a manger or whomever told her to change the locks to call me. 2 weeks later, never a call, explanation, or apology. All my dads belongings were locked inside and he missed out on a day with his friends at the beach.
