Summary:
Riley's Retreat is your pet-friendly, quaint, comfortable cottage in downtown Kanab perfect for visits to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and all of the nearby national parks. We offer a free concierge with some great recommendations:) Kanab is situated in the "Grand Circle" area, centrally located among Vermilion Cliffs National Monument, Bryce Canyon National Park, the Grand Canyon (North Rim), Zion National Park, Pipe Spring National Monument, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Kodachrome Basin, Lake Powell, the Wave, Horseshoe Bend and so much more.

This property is a pet friendly property and does require a $50 pet fee if you plan on bringing your furry friends! :)
Pet Policy: Pets are NOT allowed to be unattended in the home at any time, please understand and respect our policy:)

The Space:
Riley's Retreat is well loved by pet owners and visitors to Best Friends for its perfect pet setup. The home has a large backyard with a pet door and ramp for older dogs. Just 3 blocks from the center of town, guests can walk to shops and restaurants.

The Neighborhood:
Riley's Retreat is on the north side of downtown Kanab. You are just a few blocks from restaurants, shops, parks, hiking trails, our city swimming pool and more.

Getting Around:
From the home, you can walk to anything downtown but of course, you'll want a vehicle to visit the parks and all of the exciting things to explore here.
Page, AZ airport is 1 hour away; St. George, UT airport is 1.5 hours away; Las Vegas airport is 3 hours away.

Other Things to Note:
Kanab is known as the "Hub of the Parks', and is the gateway to three national parks, Zion (30 Miles), Bryce Canyon (70 miles) and the Grand Canyon North Rim (70 miles). Visit the Grand Staircase - Escalante Monument, Lake Powell/Glen Canyon Recreation Area, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, The 'Wave'/Paria Wilderness, Pipe Springs National Monument, Kodachrome State Park, Cedar Breaks and Cedar Mountain. Also tour Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, or hike in the red rock country nearby through the many trails such as Squaw, Bunting, and K-Hill trails. Equestrian and biking trails are also available. Relax with a dream vacation and re-live life in the west where dozens of western movies were made, Kanab otherwise knows as 'little Hollywood' is home to the Western Legends Roundup, every August and features vendors, great food, two live stages and the National Cowboy Poetry Rodeo. This event honors the western movie industry and highlights the 'High Noon' western parade, and much, much more. The location was great for site seeing. We traveled with two small dogs, so the fenced yard was great to have. However, the yard and outside area could be cleared of weeds, dead leaves and long grass around the perimeter. The home was comfortable and clean inside. Response time was quick regarding a few questions upon check in.

Wendy was a wonderful host with a quick response to every question we had ! The house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood with an absolutely lovely large and grassy backyard that was secure and safe for my dog...always important. The house was comfortable with everything you could need. Conveniently located to the downtown area and very nice for early morning walks. Looking forward to another stay !!! Nice property

The property was very nice and well kept. The yard was my main reason for selecting this property and it did not disappoint. I have an 18 month old black lab that is used to desert landscaping and he loved the huge yard of grass. He played hard and slept well.

Dog Friendly in Kanab

We really appreciated staying in such a dog friendly home. Daisy loved the fenced backyard. Also the kitchen was well stocked which was great. Beds were comfy. Master bathroom was very nice. Thank you again for having us!

A Perfect Place to Stay

This house had everything you could possibly want. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, pots, pans, plates, etc. They use good tissue and toilet paper, not the rough, cheap brands you have in hotels. The backyard was perfect for a pet. The laundry area was fully stocked with washing pods and dryer sheets. The neighborhood was quiet and the hosts were great. If I'm ever in the Kanab area again, I will try to stay at Riley's Retreat. Highly recommend it.

We stayed 1 night with our 2 dogs! Loved the yard and doggie door!! The kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped with everything we could possibly need! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others as well!

Dog Friendly Property/Fenced Yard!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. All the amenities you could want in the kitchen, bathroom, etc. Very clean! Our dog was in heaven with her own fenced in yard to play fetch when she wasn’t hiking with us! Close to restaurants, shops and pharmacy. Good home base for visiting national parks.

Perfect Little Getaway House

We loved staying at Riley's Retreat because of the convenient and beautiful location, the comfort of the furnishings, and how well stocked the kitchen was. The doggy items provided (bed, blankets, toys, water bowl, and poop bags) were such a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again.

Easy Access to Everything

The location in town was easy access to grocery stores, restaurants, Kanab Canyon, Paria, Peek-a-boo Slot Canyon, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, etc. The house was perfect for us, fully equipped kitchen and dog bed, water bowl and leashes. Our dogs loved the big, fenced back yard. They felt at ease quickly. Communication with the owner/manager was great. Even messaged us a warning that we would hear a lot of sirens because Kanab HS girls basketball team won State.

Family Vacation

After a very stressful drive across the dessert we were over joyed to find Riley’s retreat to be clean,COOL, and completely furnished for our family. The home is very clean and completely furnished, even more so than described in the listing. We3 were so happy to find the back yard was. Completely enclosed for our little fur children. We were even more impressed that thee kitchen was completely furnished with pretty much any kitchen item you need to make meals! Extremely grateful for this after all the restaurants had a 2 hour wait and we needed to cook dinner! If you are staying in Kanab and plan on eating make dinner reservations in advance! Between the limited dining options and little space, shorter hours and Sundays most dining option are closed you need a completely furnished kitchen.

Perfect location, great stay

This was our 3rd time staying at Riley's Resort. It is clean, comfortable, and extremely convenient to everything. Our dog loves the huge, fenced yard. The location of the driveway makes it easy to load and unload the car. The bed is comfy, with nice linens. The shower has great water pressure and plenty of hot water. This place is great we will make it a 4th time next year.

Thanksgiving Getaway

The house was very clean. The kitchen is large and we’ll appointed for all your cooking needs. The fenced yard was perfect for our dog. The house is close to town and on a quiet street. Plenty of space for us all to relax after a fun day of hiking.

Great property, a top 5 favorite.

This was our 2nd time at Riley's Resort. The location is fabulously convenient, close to everything, and on a quiet street. The kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked, clean, and have lots of hot water and great water pressure. The bed and linens are very comfortable. Out dog loved the large fenced yard. We will be back for a 3rd time next year.

Great base for touring!

Place was as listed and reviewed. Well stocked and clean. Enjoyed having it for the four of us to unwind in after daily excursions. Our dog loved the fenced yard. Would’ve been nice to have a backyard patio area for sitting there. And a larger bed in master bedroom. Absolutely recommend Riley’s Retreat.

Awesome Home!

What a beautiful home! The kitchen and bathrooms were newly updated and huge! Spacious home with all of the amenities we needed, including all the pots and pans and other items needed in the kitchen, washer/dryer in the basement, cute backyard, and driveway. The property manager was super responsive to any questions. We were here for two weeks and had a lovely stay.
