  • Esta es una casa de 3 dormitorios con energía solar en Kawaihae ubicado un pintoresco 30 minutos al norte del aeropuerto de Kona. A diferencia de muchas propiedades de alquiler de Hawai, esta casa está muy bien situado a las carreteras de la zona lo que reduce el tiempo de trayecto a ciudades y zonas de interés cercanas. La casa ofrece hermosas vistas de la costa del Océano Pacífico y Kohala desde el patio trasero. Los visitantes disfrutan de terreno hermosa y antigua de la parte más deseable de la Isla Grande, donde el clima es casi siempre soleado y las temperaturas normalmente oscilan entre 80 a 68 grados F cada día.

    La casa está ubicada en una zona histórica, en un corto de 5 a 10 minutos en coche de los mundos mejores playas en Mauna Kea y Hapuna Beach. Comprar pescado fresco y verduras en Kawaihae y disfrutar de la parrilla de su comida como los vientos alisios suaves soplan a través de las palmas de coco y plantas tropicales en la propiedad. Our family of fivejust returned home after five days and not a single one of us wanted to leave! Hale Ohia is PERFECT in every way; great location, fantastic hosts and wonderful accommodations. Our three young kids loved the backyard (so did we!) and we were able to cook meals and do laundry which makes a family vacation so much easier. Already planning to return as the kids were asking when we could go back on the flight home.

Amazing view! Lots of amenities, great location. The host welcomed us with warm freshly made raisin bread and a bottle of wine. She was very responsive. Would definitely stay there again.

This place was perfect for us. Close to the best beaches. Clean comfortable accommodations. The hosts were amazing. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for good value away from the bustle.

We had a wonderful stay and could not have been happier with this property. Everything was exactly as described—and even better in person. The location was perfect, with stunning views and easy access to everything we wanted to do on the Kohala Coast.The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the Big Island. The home was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and very well stocked with everything we needed during our stay.One of the most thoughtful touches was the fresh homemade bread waiting for us when we arrived. It was absolutely delicious and made us feel instantly welcome. The coffee that was provided was also greatly appreciated and helped make our mornings on the lanai even more enjoyable.The hosts have clearly put a great deal of care into creating a warm and inviting experience for their guests. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in Kohala.

Nice experience

On the outside edge of a cluster of several homes, this house was clearly the nicest of all of them. Very well taken care of and decorated for the Hawaiian vacationer, this house is quiet and comfortable yet a close drive to Waimea and beaches. We were very happy with our stay. Thank you to the hosts!

Great location, perfect for family

This has become a favorite place for our family to stay when visiting the Big Island. Home is well appointed with plenty of space and amenities. Yard is a huge plus with kids. Just a few minutes to our favorite beaches or Kawaihae food and shopping. Only 10 min to Waimea for groceries, park, farmers market, etc.

Great Vrbo Big island

This is my second time staying here .Its an awesome house with a big yard with a beautiful view! The owners have provided you with everything you need .You can enjoy the cozy feel ,Hawaiian decorations and a massage chair too ! The beach is 5 minutes away ! I highly recommend this to anyone !The owners are friendly and really care that you enjoy your stay . You will feel the aloha with this Vrbo !

What a wonderful experience staying at this VRBO!! Great communication well before we even arrived in Hawaii. There was fresh homemade bread and a bottle of wine. The cute well FURNISHED three bedroom house was in a great location to the beaches and driving to local towns. It’s one of the best VRBO‘s that was so well equipped down to a rice cooker! The host made sure we were comfortable and if we needed anything, it was great to meet them and I’d highly recommend staying at this wonderful VRBO. It is close to a road however, we did not find that to be any trouble at all and could not even hear traffic in the house.

We had a lovely time at this house. It was very clean, comfortable and relaxing. The home is exactly as described with great attention to detail. Kitchen is well equipped and the grill outside was a plus. We watched the sunset every night and even saw the Green Flash twice. Great communication with the hosts. We will be back!

Hale Ohia is the perfect home away-from-home for your Hawaiian vacation. Warm and cozy, with a well-appointed kitchen, very comfortable beds with lovely bedding, a dining area with views down the Kona Coast, and comfortable living room furniture, including a great massage chair to give your happy, tired muscles a massage after your beach day! The best beach is literally 5 minutes from the house.Your hosts, Nick and Nicole, are truly the most wonderful hosts one could ever wish for. You will feel like part of the family when you stay at Hale Ohia. The hard part is leaving to return to the mainland, but the happy memories stay with you always. We highly recommend Hale Ohia!

Quiet Getaway in Paradise

The home had everything we could have needed or asked for. The views were fantastic! We watched whales from the yard and enjoyed the sunset each night along with a sky full of stars! The location is perfect to get away from the excitement and crowds in Kona, so you can truly slow down and enjoy all the island has to offer. There are great beaches within minutes of the home and the wonderful town of Waimea just up the mountain with restaurants and grocery stores. Nicole and Nick were responsive to messages and wonderfully kind.

Family vacation

Property had everything we needed to include coffee maker/filter and French press, oils and spices, lots of cookware. Beach toys for kids, snorkel gear, boogie boards, chairs and beach towels. Beds were comfortable and house was clean. The yard is large and there’s a fence along the back boarder so we felt safe with the kids playing outback while we made dinner. We would love to stay at this home again. Short drive to several nice beaches.

Great property in awesome location

Nice property with great outdoor lanai area. Really well equipped with everything you need for an awesome stay in Waimea area. Great kitchen and outdoor grill, all good quality appliances. Really handy to Spencer Beach Park and Hapuna and tons of other great coastal spots. Also handy short drive to local Waimea restaurants (Seafood Bar & Grill), as well as local fresh produce market and fish market. We were not really concerned about road noise, there is some during the day, but not a big deal overall. We would stay here again!

Return visit was even better than the first time!

Second visit to this wonderful house. First time was fantastic, this time was even better. Clean, comfortable with lots of convenience, amenities and upgrades from 2 years ago! The back yard is a wonderful place to relax. Excellent hosts that communicate well and promptly. Once again they welcomed us with thoughtful and delicious goodies. Hopefully we can make it back very soon!

5 Minutes to World-Class Beaches!

This was our third stay at this beautiful and immaculate home. Hale ‘Uhane is tucked away in Kawaihae Village, with the volcanoes in the distance and beaches within the view. The home is well-stocked and the amenities left us not needing to make the multiple trips to the store we usually have to “fill in” gaps where other rental properties have been lacking. We feel safe and cared-for at this home. From the garden swing with morning coffee and ocean view, to star-gazing in the calm night, this home is a great value - your private slice of paradise!

A Home Away ! Thanksgiving.

In between Waimea and the beaches. This is a home - and so very welcoming. The hosts have thought of everything … games, cooking, cleaning, internet, tv, direct communications, books, towels, clothes line, landscape, decor. All done with personal kindness. Lovely home

Beautiful view overlooking the ocean, and both mountains! Lovely sunsets. Stargazing at night without needing to leave the house was a bonus! Well stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen. Beautiful outdoor space with lots of seating choices. Very responsive hosts. Beds were comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower! Be aware it is right on the main road, so there is some traffic noise, but it did not detract at all from our enjoyment of the home. The neighborhood itself is very quiet. Having an easy drive to the Kohala coast beaches, Waimea, and Hawi was so nice.

A place we love

Our fourth time at Hale Ohia was as nice as our other visits. The house fits us so well. Ken LOVES the massage chair! Had a night or two with an AMAZING sky full of stars (some light clouds the other nights). We had a concern or two, and they were dealt with, as usual. Nicole and Nicolas are great. It would be a turn off for some people, but I find the light back and forth traffic kind of soothing.
