I wish I could give the staff Alex and Tea (?) ten stars. This cozy, immaculately clean and yet historical boutique hotel is one of our favourite stops yet. It is directly across from the ferry operations but somehow extremely quiet, the small pool had my son entertained for hours, the staff will provide poolside service with drinks, the homemade cookies on arrival are *delightful*, the breakfast is so so good i wouid dare say skip some traditional Montenegrin food at restaurants bc this hotel has the cheese, prosciutto, pate, Ajvar… PLUS they offer a (free!) a La carte.
I could go on and on about this hotel and the main reason is the people working there. They are outstanding: helping carry your luggage, reaching out ahead of time to see your plans, giving explicit parking instructions (so important in the Balkans). They have thought of everything. I cannot think of one area where improvement is needed. There are terrific dining options less than a 4 min walk down the road (and there are sidewalks!)
*Notable: parking is <2 min walk from hotel, and 80% of that includes no sidewalks and blind corners. So while you are walking on the road, drivers are good. Me and my son (11) felt safe.
