Villa Mariana Seaside

  • Villa Mariana is a two storey house placed on a 4.000 square meters estate that is full of olive trees, palm trees and various types of trees and flowers with a great view towards the Mediterranean Sea and mountain of Taygetos. The Villa has private parking and its placed 300m from the beach and 3,5km from the city of Koroni. The ground floor has a fully equipped kitchen with a kitchen table, a living room with a cozy fireplace made of stone, TV, WC, a large porch that has a view towards the beach and a smaller one towards the mountain. The first floor has two bedrooms, one with a double-size bed and one with 2 single beds, a bathroom with a shower and a large balcony with a view towards the sea and the mountains.
    The guest will have full access to the ground and first floor of the house and also full access to the estate.
    The owner of the villa lives in the Basement of the villa, which is completely independent and with its own entrance.

A peaceful haven with stunning views looking over the bay of Koroni

We have spent 14 wonderful days enjoying the fantastic facilities and charm of Villa Mariana. Antonis and Giota welcomed us at the Villa and provided us with information on the local area and filled the fridge with much appreciated fresh and local produce. The Villa is beautiful, cool and comfortable with balconies on both sides to allow you to sit in or out of the sun as you wish. The large grounds, filled with olive trees, mean the Villa is quiet and secluded yet only a 3 minute walk to the sea and a few restaurants so you can leave the car behind. Or for an early morning dip before breakfast. The kitchen has been equipped to provide most of the utensils needed for a family meal and more and the lounge area is ideal when you need to escape from the sunshine. The whole Villa is spotlessly clean. In all the years of travelling, it’s the first time we’ve been able to sleep in the bedroom with the air conditioning switched on, it’s super quiet. The beds are very comfortable with lovely white linen and lots of white towels are available. All in all it was a wonderful, comfortable and relaxing place to spend our 2 weeks and we would recommend anyone to book their holiday at Villa Mariana. We genuinely are struggling to express how nice this Villa is. As someone else has said, the pictures don’t do it justice as it’s even more beautiful in ‘real life’. Thank you to Antonis and Giota, you were wonderful, kind hosts and always available should we need help.

Super erholsamer Urlaub

Das Objekt hat unsere Erwartungen bei weitem übertroffen. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Wir wurden mit Obst, Wasser, Wein, Olivenöl und Oliven empfangen. In der Küche war alles vorhanden(Toaster, Wasserkocher, Kaffeemaschine, Mikrowelle, etc.) Auch waren Einmalportionen für Honig, Marmalade, Kaffee und Tee vorhanden, sodass man für die ersten Tage versorgt war. Es ist alles sehr gepflegt und sauber. Vom Toilettenpapier, Duschgel bis zu den Handtüchern war alles in ausreichender Menge vorhanden. Man musste nur die Badetücher für den Strand mitbringen. Das Objekt bietet mehrere Terassen, sodass es immer möglich ist je nach Wetterlage draußen zu Essen. Hervorzuheben ist auch, dass alle Fenster mit Mückengittern ausgestattet sind und auch Mückenstecker und Rauchspiralen zur Benutzung vorhanden waren. Die Entfernung zu den Bademöglichkeiten ist sehr nah und kann auch zu Fuß bewerkstelligt werden. Allerdings ist zum Erreichen der näheren Umgebung und für Ausflüge ein Auto empfehlenswert. Das Grundstück selbst ist riesig mit Olivenbäumen und Palmen. Für Kinder gibt es auch zahlreiche Spielmöglichkeiten. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man für den täglichen Bedarf so benötigt. In der Umgebung gibt es auch mehrere Tavernen, wo man überall preiswert und sehr gut Essen kann. Es ist sehr ruhig, was natürlich auch an der Nachsaison liegen kann. Aber ich denke überlaufen ist es hier nie, da es keine größeren Hotels gibt. Wer einen erholsamen ruhigen Urlaub wünscht, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Wir können das Haus nur weiterempfehlen und werden sicherlich wiederkommen. Martina und Robert(Paar 50 und 53 Jahre alt)

Excellent séjour en famille dans un environnement superbe

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à la villa Mariana. La maison est agréable à vivre, bien équipée. Vue superbe sur la mer depuis les terrasses. Accès à la plage à 300 m à pied. Plage de sable, très agréable avec des enfants. Le village de Koroni est également très sympathique. Nous remercions Antonis pour leurs attentions et leur discrétion. A recommander !

Beautiful house and views

We stayed in Antonis’s beautiful house for five days this summer. He was very welcoming and helpful and the welcome gift of olives, olive oil and fruits etc was very kind. My daughters enjoyed staying in the house very much, with the beach a very short walk away. Highly recommended

a great stay

We spent 10 days at the property in June and it was just right. We were there with our two children (2.5 years and 5 months) and they had a great time. The gardens are great fun to wander in and explore, and the balconies that run round the house means that there is always a spot in the shade or sun to sit out in. Quality of the house is great and we had no problems at all. The host (Antonis) was so welcoming and helpful, freindly and available, especially as he is on site. when we arrived we were welcome with beautiful olive oil and olives from the olive grove that surrounds the house. the house was clean and wecoming and a travel cot was provided with plenty of spare bed linen. We found it fine in the house with kids, but its worth mentioning that there are a lot of tiled stairs that you have to watch them on. This is our second trip to Koroni and we love the area, the beaches are excellent and there are so many spots off the beaten track to explore. We hope to be back

Très confortable villa à 300 mètres de la plage dans un magnifique jardin

Une villa très confortable avec la climatisation (très appréciable la nuit), très bien équipée et meublée avec goût. Les terrasses offrent une vue superbe sur la mer ou sur le jardin et permettent d'être protégé du soleil ardent quelle que soit l'heure. La tranquillité est assurée sans être difficile d'accès. Le jardin très agréable. Aucune mauvaise surprise, les photos sont strictement conformes à la location. Un grand merci à Antonnis, propriétaire attentif mais d'une discrétion totale. Merci pour son accueil, le réfrigérateur gentiment garni à notre arrivée, les figues fraîches délicieuses et les chaussons au fromage et au fenouil sauvage spécialement cuisinés pour nous. La plage est à 300 mètres et tout est accessible à pieds.. La petite ville de Koroni n'est qu'à 5mn en voiture et offre toutes les commodités. Des vacances vraiment très agréables dans une location que nous conseillons vivement.

Die Wohnung im 1. und 2. Stock war sehr schön und mit 80m2 ausreichend groß für uns als dreiköpfige Familie. Der Strand beginnt in 300m und man kann ihn bis Koroni entlanglaufen. Der Vermieter Antonis ist sehr nett und bewohnt die untere Wohnung, ist aber ausgesprochen unauffällig, man kann den gesamten Garten benutzen und insg 3 Terassen. Wir waren im antiken Messene in den Bergen bei Polilminio ( Wasserfälle und Gumpen, sehr schön), an der Ochsenbauchbucht, beim Palast des Nestor, in der Festung Pilos und Koroni, in Kalamata,....Alles sehr schöne Ausflugsziele, eine Fahrt auf dem kleinen Segelschiff mit Annika ( Prospekte gibt es in Koroni ) für einen ganzen Tag war auch sehr schön. Fantastisch gelegenes Haus mit atemberaubender Aussicht

Sehr sauberes, liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus mit einer komplett ausgestatteten Küche. Die Aussicht vom oberen Balkon ist unschlagbar: Sonnenaufgang in der ersten Reihe, wunderbare Sicht auf das Meer und die umliegenden Olivenhaine. Der dazugehörige Garten wird von Antonis liebevoll gepflegt. Antonis wohnt im Parterre, bleibt aber diskret im Hintergrund. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir von Antonis mit Sekt, Früchten, selbstgepresstem Olivenöl aus seiner eigenen Plantage sowie eingelegten Oliven, ebenfalls von den umliegenden Olivenbäumen, verwöhnt. Das Haus ist ruhig gelegen und doch sehr nahe Strand und wenige Autominuten vom Dorfkern. Das September-/Oktober-Wetter in Koroni war mehrheitlich sehr gut (2 Regentage auf 2 Wochen Sonnenschein), lud zum Baden im immer noch warmen und klaren Meer und zum Sonnenliegen am schönen, sauberen Saga-Strand ein. Der nahegelegene Strand wurde nur noch von wenigen Rentner/innen und Einheimischen frequentiert (jahreszeitbedingt?). Als Familie mit Prä-Zwillingsteenagern haben wir uns dennoch sehr wohl gefühlt. 😀 Koroni ist ein beschauliches Städtchen mit Charme, touristisch nicht überlaufen, keine laute Partymusik. Die venezianische Befestigungsanlage mit Kloster und prächtigem Garten über dem Städtchen kann zu Fuss erkundet werden und ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. An einem Abend kredenzte uns Antonis leckere, von seiner Frau zubereitete frittierte Fenchel-Feta-Teigtäschchen. Wir haben die Zeit in Koroni sehr genossen und empfehlen Antonis "Villa Mariana" auf jeden Fall weiter. Danke!

Very nice place, which we highly recommend

Very cosy and clean. Beautiful large garden with olive and palm trees. Close to a nice sandy beech, only about 5 minutes walk. Koroni is a beautiful small town, not crowded. Antonis and his wife are very friendly and helpful. They gave us a warm welcome. Thank you very much.

Extraordinaire et souvenirs inoubliables.

Antonis et sa femme Iota possèdent une très belle maison à Koroni, comme en témoignent les photos, à quelques centaines de mètres d'une très belle plage de sable. Cette demeure est idéale pour les vacances et nous avons passé un très agréable séjour conforme à ce que nous attendions avec, en plus, la gentillesse, l'attention, et la disponibilité d'un couple grec toujours prêt à vous aider. Rien ne manque en terme d'équipement de la maison ; les lieux sont propres et très bien entretenus ; et la vue vers l'Est et le sud depuis les balcons sont à couper le souffle. S'il fait un peu chaud le matin pour y prendre le petit déjeuner une autre terrasse à l'ombre côté Nord est idéale pour commencer la journée. Mais dès 13h le balcon commence à être ombragé et on peut y prendre le déjeuner de la mi journée et le dîner du soir. L'endroit est tranquille il est sécurisé par un portail et votre véhicule restera à l'ombre toute la journée sous une large pergola couverte. La petite ville de Koroni est très agréable ; petit port de pêche mais aussi des restaurants, cafés, glacier ( Hummm les glaces de chez DODONI) un accueil partout chaleureux et bienveillant à l'égard des touristes étrangers que nous sommes. Pas besoin de se forcer pour louer les mérites à la fois de la Villa Mariana de Antonis et Iota, et de sa petite ville de KORONI. Merci Philippe Nathalie et Mathilde depuis la France

Traumhaft !!!

Wir waren sehr begeistert von dem Haus, alles war sehr praktisch, sehr sauber, sehr schön. Wenn es zu heiß wird im Sommer, hat man immer eine schöne Brise auf dem oberen Balkon - mit schönstem Meerblick! In 5 min zu Fuß ist man am schönen Strand mit netter Taverne. Aber auch Koroni ist nicht weit (5 min mit dem Auto). Antonis und seine wunderbare Frau sind sehr symphatisch und immer da wenn man Hilfe oder ein paar Ratschläge braucht. (Wir schwärmen immer noch von den Fenchel Pies - DANKE!!) Wir kommen bestimmt wieder !!

Schönes idealtypisch gelegenes Haus mit gutem Umfeld

Sehr schön - inmitten eines großen, gepflegten Olivengartens gelegenes - Haus, von dem die oberen beiden Etagen als Wohn- und Schlafräume zur Verfügung stehen, jeweils mit Terrassen mit Meerblick; es gibt auch eine zusätzliche Terrasse in die andere Richtung, somit ist immer die Möglichkeit gegeben, sich im Schatten aufzuhalten. Wir haben das Haus zu zweit genutzt - die Ausstattung ist vollständig vorhanden und im Wesentlichen praktisch gestaltet. Der Vermieter Antonis ist überaus hilfreich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam, wir wurden mit Oliven, Olivenöl, Obst und Wein empfangen und sogar einmal mit einem köstlichen traditionellen Gericht verwöhnt. Von uns wurde besonders auch die Nähe zum Meer und der dort gelegenen Taverne geschätzt ("Limanaki" ist sehr freundlich und kocht gut). Auf dem über 2 km langen sauberen Strand kann man/frau bis Koroni gehen. Zusammenfassend entsprach diese Unterkunft genau unseren Bedürfnissen, wir würden wiederkommen.

Fantastic House in an amazing location!

Fantastic House in an amazing location! The Olive trees, the view, the balconies, everything was great. The kids loved running about amongst the trees and it was a short walk down to the nearest beach. Highly recommended!

Wunderbares Haus in Palmengarten, das Meer zu Fuss erreichbar

Überraschend war die fantastische Lage des Hauses mit Sicht über die ganze Landschaft und das Meer. Es ist sehr ruhig aber trotzdem ist man in 5 Minuten zu Fuss am Strand und unter den Leuten. Das Haus ist gross, sehr gepflegt, extrem sauber und liebevoll und wirklich mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet, viel wohnlicher als auf den Fotos ersichtlich ist. Rundherum ist ein grosser Garten mit wunderschönen Palmen und Sukkulenten. Es gibt immer eine Terrasse mit Schatten: morgens auf den Palmgarten hinaus und Nachmittags zwei riesige Terrassen mit Aussicht aufs Meer und die Landschaft. Mücken haben uns nie heimgesucht. Antonis und Giota sind sehr charmant und kümmern sich unkompliziert und liebevoll um alle Wünsche – bleibt aber gleichzeitig sehr diskret im Hintergrund. Wir wurden mit Olivenöl, Wein und Früchten empfangen, unsere Tochter wurden alle Wünsche von den Lippen abgelesen. Frische Bett-und Badewäsche gibt es so viel wie gewünscht und noch mehr. Jede Frage oder Wunsch wird umgehend beantwortet. Wir haben uns richtig gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Am Strand gibt es eine Taverne die auch von vielen Griechen besucht wird und vom Frühstück bis zum Mitternachtsimbiss alles biete gleich neben einem blitzsauberen Strand mit glasklarem Wasser. Zu Fuss dem Strand entlang gibt es die Möglichkeit Windsurfen zu lernen oder zu günstigen Konditionen ein Brett zu mieten. Ausserdem lässt es sich bei Felsen auch sehr gut schnorcheln. 5 Minuten mit dem Auto gibt es einen grösseren Supermarkt mit allem Nötigen. Oft verlocken aber die nahe Taverne oder die Restaurants im Hafen von Koroni, wo es am Abend lebhaft her und zu geht und es einige schöne Läden gibt. Für uns waren es sehr gelungene Ferien. Es gibt wunderschöne Strände zu entdecken und wer will kann in kurzer Zeit Kulturgüter besuchen. Alles ist nahe, es gibt Tourismus aber es ist trotzdem gemächlich und nicht überlaufen.
