"Twin Pahootz is a cute and thoroughly cosy cottage with state of the art facilitites, situated right on the estuary and 200 metres away from the pristine Tauranga Bay beach.

Twin Pahootz has been completely renovated, and now features a brand new kitchen, brand new bathroom, extra separate toilet facilities and a laundry come scullery for true outdoor living. Twin Pahootz will cater well for your needs. A fish bench out the back will keep the boaties happy.

You still get to watch the kids play on the section or the adjacent reserve and enjoy super easy access to all activities on offer at Tauranga Bay beach and estuary. A small dog (under 10kg) may be acceptable subject to our approval. Please send a photo.

A queen size bed is available and there are two single bed size window seats (one in the lounge and the other in the bedroom) for a midday nap or if you bring the kids and do not want to pitch a tent for them on the lawn. For nature lovers, dotterels nest in the dunes of the pristine beach.

Cook dinner on the BBQ, or in the brand new kitchen and clean up in the scullery/laundry. For a respite from the beach and the water-filled fun, play games with the kids or just lounge like lizards with a good book.

The property is fully fenced so straying children/ pooches can be kept under your wings.

Minimum stay is two nights - perfect for a quick weekend fishing or beach getaway. Arrive home fully refreshed from this relaxing retreat.

An extra charge of $10 per person per night applies for any more than two people and a maximum of six people applies.

Winter-time long-term stays to be negotiated. Minimum one month stay period applies for this rate. Just use the "Ask a Question" to enquire about this option.

Bring your own bed linen and towels, or we can make up the queen bed if you prefer..

Special conditions:
In consideration of the community and neighbours a strict no party and no loud music policy applies.

Twin Pahootz can support only well-behaved dogs which will be friendly to passers-by and the local child and bird friendly community.

Please note there is no internet facility provided at Twin Pahootz. Top up your device data before arriving.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own extra linen (towels/sheets/tea towels.) Take all rubbish with you upon departure.

A charming spot.

We had a relaxing stay at Twin Pahootz despite the tropical cyclone rollling through. It is a very well appointed holiday unit that would be great for a couple anytime or small family in the summer.

Attractive and comfortable unit in a beautiful, peaceful spot

The unit is clean, fresh and comfortable and well equipped.It has lovely flow and seating to the outside and short stroll to the beach. Appliances, washing facilities and shower are all of a high standard and make for a very easy holiday.Extra relaxing without TV and wifi.Thank you for sharing this beautiful part of Northland.

Fabulous Stay

Get away for the long weekend (Labour Weekend). Was a lovely spot of paradise and the hosts were very helpful and friendly. Only thing to mention was that there was no TV, which wouldn't have mattered so much if the All Blacks weren't playing on one of the nights that we stayed. Otherwise highly recommend.

Lovely weekend away

Relaxing weekend spent in a beautiful place. Being able to bring our dog and the place being fully fenced was a bonus. Comfortable bed and the home has everything you need. Would stay again.

Lovely little cottage ideal for a family

We had a lovely time at the cottage. We love the site, the tidiness and the overall atmosphere. A few suggestions : remove a few dining chairs to free up some space. Add a small wardrobe could be quite useful too! Fantastic time nevertheless ! Thanks a lot for the memories .

Beautiful property in perfect location

The property is idyllic and clean which made our stay very relaxing. The outdoor area is well planned and can be enjoyed regardless of the weather. We stayed with a dog and a toddler but the property was fully fenced so safe for both. Our 10 year old slept on the mattress in the bay window which unfortunately had no curtains so he had few early starts. Everything else was absolutely lovely., location included. Thank you for having us, we certainly would like to come back!

All the comforts of home

Great little cottage which is well set up. Lovely location and lawn for tents with plenty of space for kids to play. Annee and co were lovely and communication was excellent. Will likely revisit Twin Pahootz.

French style inspired Kiwi Bach

Cosy! French country styled decor with a kiwi bach feel. Comfortable bed & window boxed single bed, with curtains to secure a special place for a child. Endless walks back & forth to the beach. Enjoyed our stay!

A little gem on a big site

Clean, tidy, sooooo many utensils in the kitchen, you would never run out when having guests over. Very well designed for extended family/friends who can camp as the scullery and bathroom are easily access and don’t disturb those in the cottage. Easy access to the beach, estuary and walks. Would totally recommend.
