Konea 139 is among the very finest and largest 2 bedroom condos in the entire resort. It is one of the larger two bedroom condos with a big private wrap around lanai. First floor location makes it very convenient to access. **
Dine on the lanai or inside the condo. The beautiful kitchen in this condo offers all Bosch appliances. All granite counter tops and full granite backsplash add to the gorgeous refined feel. The walls of folding Nana doors can be opened and the lanai space can be incorporated seamlessly into the living area. 11 foot ceiling. Konea 139 is very private and does not have any common walls. The State of Hawaii mandates a total tax of 18.712%. subject to change.
Taxes are paid to the state of Hawaii and County of Maui based on the guest’s dates of stay. Any changes to the current tax rate will be charged or refunded to the guests depending on the increase or decrease.
OCCUPANCY:
Additional Guests of any age (infants and toddlers included) are strictly prohibited without prior approval. If approved, a fee of $100+tax per day will be added to the reservation for each additional guest.

Ground Floor - perfect w the kids
Property was very nice, condo was very clean and in great shape. The oversized Lanai was awesome.Condo was actually much larger than we anticipated which was a nice surprise.It was ground floor but you could still see a bit of the ocean from the Lanai. Ground floor was a huge plus for the kids coming and going to the beach/pool.Would stay here again for sure.

Excellent stay
Amazing Thanksgiving stay! The VRBO at Kaanapali was perfect for our group of 4 adults and a 4-year-old. The location was unbeatable—close to the beach and family-friendly activities. The property was clean, well-stocked, and spacious, with everything we needed for a comfortable holiday week. Our child loved the pool, and the adults appreciated the relaxing atmosphere and stunning views. Highly recommend for families looking for a memorable getaway!

Ice maker in refrigerator doesn’t work. Curtains in living space were broken. Living area was 80 degrees at its coolest. Other than those issues the place was great

Great stay
We had a wonderful vacation in Maui, and the condo was perfect to come back to after a full day of shopping and exploring. After doing the Road to Hana we relaxed on the lanai and had dinner. We had a couple issues that we had to text the property manager, but she was very responsive and all was taken care of quickly. As far as for the condo items, it seemed to have pretty much everything for the most part, the beach chairs were great but an umbrella would have been nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Great room for entertaining. Lanai is awesome for large groups. Fairly stocked up in the kitchen. I’d definitely rent this same room if I went again. Communication with Fereshteh was super easy and replies were within minutes!! Nothing but great things to say about our stay!!

Excellent- Better even than pictures and descriptions!
The place is in a resort, but the corner unit felt very private and homey. The space is large and tastefully decorated, plus had anything we needed for comforts. We enjoyed opening the large doors to create a massive open space with the lanai. Short walk to great pools and spectacular beach. We would 100% try and stay here another time.

Family vacation
Thought condo was as described, loved the outdoor seating. The only small problem is the bathroom could be a little brighter, but this did not affect the stay. Would book again

Paradise in Konea Tower
This property certainly was paradise in Konea Tower. It was close to the activities, stores, food trucks, etc. However, we did have trouble with Uber Drivers finding us in the Konea Tower, the ice maker in the room wasn't working properly, and other little things like that. Other wise it was great.

Perfect location!
Couldn’t ask for a more beautiful island! The resort and rental property was clean and beautiful also. Only issue was every time you open the lanai door the air would kick off. But other than that it was a perfect place to stay. Everything you could need is available on the property. We will be back!

This property was perfect from start to finish. The condo was exactly as described
We enjoyed our stay here so much. We could walk down the beach in less than 1 minute and I regularly had a nice cup of coffee there in the morning before the rest of my family woke up. Location was the best. I have absolutely no negatives about the place and will stay here any time we may return. Also, the Lanai was amazing and so secluded.

Perfect location on the resort!
It was so nice and super quiet to be tucked back a ground floor unit. Such easy access to the pools and Dukes. Our family loved being able to run back and forth into our room and not have to wait for elevators. The unit is beautiful! Clean! The A/C makes the master bedroom a bit cold while the rest of the house stays a bit warm and humid but we were outside most of the time and the kids didn’t complain so that’s a win! Very helpful and attentive host!

Nice location but issues with unit
The bed in the 2nd bedroom was broken. Had to contact owner twice. They were unable to fix so put blocks underneath bed to keep supported. Mattress still sloped down. Toilet in master bedroom had issues. Seat slid every time you sat on and also ran water quite a bit. Had to jiggle handle to stop from running. Hot in living room as fan did not work as no remote. Property manager did say not listed in listing, but would have been nice to have. Overall, condo was dated with issues. Property manager was very quick in responding.

Great place to relax!
This is a wonderful place to stay, very clean, spacious and the lanai is absolutely perfect! I was a little apprehensive that it was on the ground floor but to my pleasant surprise it was very private. Walking distance to the beach and Duke's restaurant which has great food. I would definitely stay there again.

Absolute Perfection
This was the perfect condo for our trip to Maui with kids (5,7,9). The condo location is like a dream on the Honua Kai property - the spot is ideal. The large patio became a playroom for our kids - immersed in nature and safely within our view. They will remember their time searching for wildlife with such fondness. We plan to return next year and will only stay at this condo!

Absolutely gorgeous resort and beautiful room
Our stay at Honua Kai was perfect. The condo was clean and updated. The huge Lanai was perfect for having to small kids and older grandparents. Communication with the property manager was great. The only challenge was parking. Spaces close are limited. We would definitely stay here again.

Confused by all the five star ratings.

I am confused by all the five star ratings.
I have stayed at the resort before in 2016.
I can understand why families with children would like this condo. It is on the ground floor with a large lanai that is like another living room. Very lovely.
The condo itself is a bit dated. Dirty rug in the living room, nicked furniture, ice maker did not work, many lights did not work, bathrooms have no windows.
The most disappointing thing was the communication with the rental agent. Oh yes, if they want money, they communicate. Otherwise, good luck. We waited well past the check in time to be notified that we could get into the condo. No welcoming notes or gifts. Plenty of rules were left. Well overstated. Especially a note from the owner that seemed angry that she was allowing us to rent her "away from home".
I will definitely go back to the resort but I will not rent from this property manager or owner.
Maui is very special. We had a wonderful time.

Terrific location
Wonderful setting, and easy to maneuver! Ground floor unit with beautiful lanai made it easy to maneuver, and get to the pool and beach. Great facilities and convenient to so much of Maui’s splendor! A few (very) small annoyances with the unit itself. All fixable, and the property mgr was easy to work with.
