Sea, beach and courtyard views - prime location

Unit 811 at the Whaler is one-bedroom, two-bath. Sitting in the best location on Maui’s prestigious Kaanapali beach, this luxurious courtyard-facing condominium has breathtaking ocean and island views.

Relax on the spacious private lanai while looking out over the white sandy beach toward the island of Lanai. There is a fully equipped kitchen, newly remodeled, complete with all cookware. The bedroom contains a California King bed. In addition, there is a queen wall bed in the living room allowing 4 people to sleep comfortably. Master bath has a walk-in shower, and second bathroom has a combination tub/shower. Experience resort living in paradise. The Whaler condominium is steps away from the beach and ocean, Whalers Village shops, award winning restaurants, and the famous Royal Kaanapali golf courses. It's one of the best places on earth. Come and be our guest-you will love it here!

The Whaler charges a resort fee of $35 per day. The guest is responsible to pay this fee. It is paid directly to the Whaler upon check-out. This fee includes parking, wifi, beach towels, beach chairs, free washer/dryer, (located on every floor near the elevators, not in the unit), tennis courts, gym and all other whaler amenities.

The Whaler is in a great location on Kaanapali Beach. This unit is really nice. Great views of the ocean and the sun setting behind Lanai. Everything was very clean and well stocked. We would absolutely stay here again!

Amazing Condo--beyond expectation

1. Property owner was wonderful--quick to respond, very helpful, and kind.2. Overall impressions of condo: impeccably clean; nice decor without being cluttered and too much like many condos; looks as if it's been recently updated. 3.Great views. Partial from various angles inside and fantastic views from lanai! The unit is just a few back from ocean front.4. Kitchen: fully equipped with anything you'd need e.g. many cooking utensils, plenty of pots and pans and lots of storage containers. Some cooking oils and spices. Ice Maker (not the case at all Whaler Condos). Keurig & regular coffee maker.5. Bathroom lighting. This is huge for me :) It's extremely rare to find a rental that has good lighting for putting on makeup or is at a minimum not too dark or an obnoxious color. And, the master has a magnifying mirror to affix to the mirror...nice touch! Also the second bath is a full bath which is especially nice. Not a second bath or just half in a lot of the Whaler Condos. A lot of counter space in both as well. 6. Storage. There's more than enough room in closets, dressers and bathroom drawers and cupboards to put your things if you like to unpack everything. More than enough hangers.7. Beach Gear: Plenty! 4 Tommy Bahama beach chairs (which are the best to have if you're not familiar), umbrella, and more! AND...very nice to open the door and see a nice note, pineapple, a bakery treat and a very nice selection of coffee and tea!Will definitely be back!

First Vacation to Hawaii/Maui

As first time visitors to Maui, it was important for us to have a location central to our interests for our vacation. This condo was absolutely perfect. We went on a whale watching excursion & met the tour right next door on the beach. Golf was literally a 3 minute car ride away. We had many dining options & shopping next door at Whaler’s Village. The condo is exactly as pictured on the VRBO listing. It’s clean, spacious & oh the view !! We watched whales daily from the lanai (owner has binoculars for your use) the sunsets are just spectacular & you don’t even need to leave your condo to see them. We absolutely loved our time at The Whaler, this condo had everything we needed. Laura (owner) responds quickly to any questions I had & was a pleasure to work with. If our travels take us back to Maui, we wouldn’t hesitate to rent this unit again. Thank you for sharing your home in paradise

Slice of Heaven

What an amazing time our family of 4 had!The condo is perfect. Just as listed, but better! Pictures truly cannot show how amazing the view is.The condo has everything you need. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pants, cook ware, blender, kettle, toaster, spices, everything! While we did bring many of our own toiletry items I appreciated having access to shampoo, conditioner, soap, a blow dryer, and plenty of soft fluffy towels. The beds were SO comfortable, which is very important to us. My kids (14 & 16) said the Murphy bed was very comfortable. I loved how we could put the bed away during the day to make the living room fully usable. The location couldn’t be better. Right next door to Whalers village with plenty of shopping and restaurants. It’s a quick drive to the grocery store and other stores if needed. The beach is spectacular. We were here during the big swell so the ocean was unusable for the first 3 days, but we still enjoyed the beach and the pool is great too! Sunsets off the balcony are amazing. And watching the sunrise from bed every morning was my coffee was even better. We can’t wait to be back!

Maui vacation

This is my second time renting this unit and absolutely love it. The view is spectacular, the bed is so comfortable and the owner is fantastic to work with. We utilized the umbrella and coolers for the beach and the binoculars were fun for watching the ocean. Already plan to rent it again next year.

Wonderful Experience

This was my 3rd time visiting Maui and my 2nd time at the Whaler. Unit 811 was exactly how it was described! The owners answered my questions promptly and the unit has a fully stocked kitchen, several coolers, 4 plus beach chairs, and umbrella, and extra pillows. The king bed and Murphy bed are both extremely comfortable as is the unit in general. I was a little worried about the pool noise but it was not super loud or annoying. We would definitely stay in this unit again.

Great Hawaiian Getaway

This is definitely one of the best units on The Whaler property. My wife and I have been staying at The Whaler in various units over the last decade and few come close to this one. The condo is in great condition and was extremely comfortable for our family of four. The views off of the lanai are spectacular and provided a great space to relax after a long day at the beach. My only suggestion to the owners would be to change the curtains to reduce the amount of natural light that comes into the unit. Traveling with two small children who are still in the napping stage made it difficult to put them to bed during the day and they tended to wake up with the sun in the morning. Overall this unit was far above our expectations and we would happily stay here again.

Marvelous Maui Condo on Kaanapali Beach!

This unit is an extremely comfortable, very clean, and well-stocked condo right on the beach with gorgeous views of Lanai! It is exactly as described and photographed by the property owner, who was a delight to work with. Check-in was a breeze...they even have complimentary valet. The location can't be beat. It is centrally located between multiple hotels in the Kaanapali Beach Resort area. There is a wonderful shopping center right next door including a small grocery. There are multiple restaurants, shops, and actives all within walking distance of this unit. It was very spacious and had everything we might need for a girls' getaway. The two bathrooms came in handy too! We loved sitting on the Lanai in the morning for breakfast and whale watching, and in the evening to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sunset. I look forward to bringing my husband back to this location, and would definitely recommend this unit to family and friends in the future. Thank you, Laura, for your wonderful hospitality!!!

Loved our stay

We had such a great time on our vacation. The property was absolutely perfect for our family (2 adults and a 16 month old). More spacious than pictured. We loved the views from the lanai, proximity to everything (including beach and pool), and how clean/large the unit was. Our son loved the pool and there were lots of kids around for him to play with. There was even a perfect “nook” off of the bedroom hallway for us to put his pack & play in for naps. We plan to come back in the future!

Excellent unit at the Whaler

My wife and I really enjoy the Whaler and this condo is outstanding (great view, very clean, well appointed, and owners easy to work with). This our second year staying at this unit and we booked our return for next year before we left.

Outstanding place to stay!

We just finished our 2 week stay in this spectacular property. The unit is wonderful and is stocked with everything you could ever need. It is positioned perfectly on the 8th floor of tower #1 so that you have a perfectly quiet stay (it is far away from the HulaGrill's music and the Whaler village air conditioners). It is also far enough from the pool to not hear anyone, but close enough to make it very convenient to go up and down from the unit. The view is beautiful (exactly what you see in the pictures). The king size bed was great for my wife and I and the queen size Murphy bed was so comfortable that my kids slept soundly every night (so much better than a sofa hide-a-bed). The staff were amazing, the host was excellent and had lightning fast replies. The entire property is immaculate. There are BBQ's close by and there is free laundry down the hall. We could not have asked for anything more and have already booked for next year!

Well situated, well stocked!

Very pleased with this property! Well situated in a prime location - oceanfront with a beautiful beach within footsteps, shopping and restuarants (both sit down and take away) a short walk down the beachwalk, and loads of entertainment nearby. We loved having the Murphy bed option in the living room and a second bathroom - made the condo have the feel of a two bedroom unit. (Perfect with teenagers in tow). Unit was well stocked (paper goods, beach chairs, kitchen equipment). The Whaler property itself it very well maintained. Would recommend.

Beautiful stay

From planning to arrival to departure, this wonderful experience at the Whaler was perfect! It is a beautiful and welcoming vacation home! The beach is beautiful and the pool is perfect. There is shopping, ABC store for essentials and souvenirs, and very good restaurants just next door. Black Rock by the Sheraton is just next door for snorkeling and cliff jumping. This was an amazing vacation for my granddaughters and me! I would certainly return!

Nice location and accomodations highly recommend.

Property clean and spacious. Great lanai and kitchen, refrigerator etc. convient for cooking breakfast. Noticed has stroller beach chairs and umbrella which are all nice conveniences especially if going to other beaches on the island. Easy access to go north or south and east to drive to different locations around the island hwy.
