Within a short walking distance you can stop by the Honokowai Marketplace to stock up at Times Supermarket, or visit the many delicious Food Trucks set up every night just outside of the resort.

BEACHES & CRITTERS: The beach size in Hawaii varies month to month due to heavy surf, strong currents and tides. Due to Maui's rural atmosphere you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don't kill them.
IMPORTANT: Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches and rodents simply cannot be completely controlled in the tropics. Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

Great location, great view, overall awesome experience.

Pool area and club house was nice and well kept. The entire property was great, awesome location. The management company's communication was good and they really tried their best to accommodate. Unfortunately we had a leak from above us that was in our bathroom cause the floors to get wet. Seemed like it came from a condenser in another unit. Regardless, we really enjoyed our stay and hope that leak from the fan above the toilet gets fixed permanently. I would book the property again! We had 4 people, 2 kids ages 3 & 7 and stayed for a week.

Lovely Lanai with Unbelievable Views

What a great stay my husband and just I had at this little slice of Ka'anapali Heaven. This is our 10+ trip to Maui (no, we don't take that for granted), and we can honestly say we'd stay here again. The condo was immaculate and spacious for two people. The views to Molokai and Lanai were incredible and we were blessed with seeing multiple whales every day. Just brew a pot of coffee, grab a seat on the lanai and all of your worries melt away. Speaking of minor worries, I'll honestly say I was a tiny bit concerned about the "little black bugs" that a past reviewer said they saw, but we never saw even one. Granted, we also never left food or dirty dishes out (as is recommended in the welcome book) but that was a relief for my semi-paranoid mind. This was also our first condo without a laundry machine inside the unit (something I accidentally overlooked while booking) and again, it was no big deal. There is a washer/dryer on each floor - and these were about 30 steps away from the front door. We only had one minor issue with a missing second key when we arrived, but voila, the team at Maui Paradise Properties had a replacement key there within the hour. Bed was comfy and the ocean breeze and crashing waves lulled us to sleep every night. But best of all, we're a huge fan of walking the paved walkway along Kaan. Beach and took advantage every day of the hour walk down to Whaler's Village: So many restaurants, pop-up markets and perfect beach views. We'll be back! MAHALO. <3

As advertised

Spent longer than a week's stay in the first week of December. The entire space was very clean and setup with everything you would need for a week+. Kitchen is stocked and there extras throughout, ie: trash bags, detergents, soaps, hangers, beach gear, and the lait goes on. I highly suggest reading the stay guide binder/book as it offers the best opportunity for a great stay. Please don't overlook this point. As my first time staying in Hawaii/Maui there are insights you cannot take for granted. I saw some reviews with issues of either geckos or bugs but on a tropical island I was expecting to see some. However we did not have any issues because we followed the simple rules for doors/AC/cleaning and I can see how others can run into issues when overlooking the guide. Shout out to the host for responding to a plumbing issue that was caused by a local repair. Within an hour they had the shower flood fixed and cleaned. The host even bought us brand new towels shortly after. The outside space is as every bit as advertised. Incredible sunsets regardless of cloud cover. We even turtles during sunrise right below us swimming. The beach is down the elevator and out the back doors in seconds. The sandier beach to the north and some even nicer beaches going south once you pass the initial rockier spaces. Food trucks are just a short 2-5min walk to the main street that's open to coffee in the morning and AWESOME good in the evenings. There's even a homemade pizza place down the street another 5 minute walk. A larger grocery store is also across the street just passed the food trucks for all other needs. The drive to Lahaina just south is an easy 5-10min ride. North to Tide pools and other great beaches including a 4x4 ride down the beach is a quick drive as well. It was great present for my wife and I. The best first experience VRBO and Maui trip. 5* trip. Thank you !

Love Maui Kai

We love Maui Kai and have stayed here many times. It’s a great location and all condos have an ocean view. We typically rent directly from Maui Kai, but didn’t this time and wouldn’t rent from this company again. They are more expensive than renting directly from Maui Kai and completely inflexible with a 10 am checkout time. I’ve never stayed anywhere where checkout is so early. I asked to move it to 12 and they said I’d have to rent it another night and went on about housekeeping. Long story to sat, stay here, but rent directly from the Maui Kai not this property management company.

Lots of Sweet and a little sour

We love the location, gorgeous view, right by the beach &renovated room with all the things we needed: beach necessities, laundy and cleaning supplies, toiletries, first aid and many more. The only bad things is that the tiny cockroaches were crawling everywhere: bathroom, bedroom, dining room, wall and especially kitchen countertops and floor. We constantly paranoid waking up with cockroaches when using bathroom and kitchen and had to keep re washing all the stuff we want to use.In the end we bought cocrach traps and constantly killing every single one that in sight.Not even funny..we killed at least 80-90 medium and tiny cockroaches in total. They are hiding behind the kitchen wall, stove and sink.We know it's unavoidable, but it could be prevented from breeding even more.overall we still like the place cuz all of the amenities, location and view

Amazing View and great location

The view is stunning and we were only a 12 min drive from Napili Bay. The kitchen is great however there were a few minor things that could really add a lot, they were changed. The rug on the lanai is quite dirty and sticky. And there is an old rusty mirror on the bathroom counter. Lightbulbs in the bedroom flickerd. Air vent in the bathroom kept blowing out fluff. Aside from these minor things our stay way overall very positive.

Excellent Stay

The condo is updated and exactly as described. AC worked great when ocean breezes were taking a break. The ocean front views are amazing. Location close to grocery store and food trucks super convenient. Easy access to beaches (walk or drive). Beach chairs in closet were a nice bonus. Pool is a little small but worked perfectly for us. Overall a five star stay and would recommend.

First Family Vacation

This was our first vacation with our 19 month old. Everything was fabulous! My husband and I really loved having the gorgeous view on the lanai while she was napping. The pool is a little lame, but we also were almost always the only ones there which was nice. Checkin was easy and the place was stocked with pots, pans, utensils. Thank you for letting us stay!

We could not have picked a better place for our trip!

We loved Maui Kai in the sense that it was not a huge resort filled with tons of people and after having driven practically the whole island multiple times during our stay, we came to the conclusion that there is no better place to stay on the island than this location. We loved the convenience of walking to the grocery store and several places to eat not to mention a whole food truck court! Also, having the condo right on the water to hear the waves crashing on the rocks below with direct access to Kaanapali beach. And that view! Absolutely breathtaking from the moment you walk through the front door. We saw sea turtles and whale spouts every day and also a whole bunch of dolphins jumping and swimming by. We felt so fortunate to see so much sea life right from our lanai. The unit was great! We had almost everything we needed. I say almost because we wished we hadn’t forgot our binoculars and hoped there may be a pair at the condo. It would be a great addition for guests. The unit was so very clean and comfy and probably the best part is the updated super comfy lanai furniture. We would absolutely one thousand percent come back to this particular unit if/when we return to Maui. Kauai is next on our bucket list!

A great stay. Maui Kai is an older building, but quieter and much less busy than many other places on the island. Every unit has a perfect view of the ocean; this makes it a great place to stay. #605 has been updated fairly recently and is a nice place...beach supplies (chairs, umbrella, etc.) were available in the unit for use, and communication was very good.

Our stay here was perfect. The view was breathtaking and we enjoyed spending time on the lanai on the comfy furniture. The location can’t be beat. Several mornings we walked down the boardwalk to Whalers Village. All our favorite beaches were very close and the grocery store across the street was very convenient. The only thing that would make this condo better would be a washer/dryer in the condo vs coin operated. But we would definitely stay here again!
