Rainbow Row - Three Private Units in Complex, near Mendenhall Glacier, Trails, and Conveniences!

This updated property is situated at the base of Thunder Mountain up against a greenbelt with a trailhead at the end of the street extending to the Mendenhall Glacier on relatively flat, even terrain. It's close to Thunder Mountain High School which features a beautiful new library and swimming pool. It's centrally located between the Airport and the Mendenhall Glacier. Amenities include a washer and dryer, linens, bedding, pillows, towels, dishes, pots and pans, utensils, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, cleaning supplies, coffee, plenty of parking, and popcorn. Bike rentals and tour discounts are available. Pets are allowed on approval with a fee. In each unit, you'll enjoy a full kitchen, with oven/cooktop, microwave, popcorn popper, dining area, TV with streaming capabilities, and a laundry room shared between the units.

Your three-unit rental includes Granite Getaway, Glacier Valley Rocks, and Thunder Mountain Place. All units have remodeled kitchens with granite countertops and stainless appliances, plenty of parking, and laundry facilities. The pet-friendly units have laminate flooring throughout, so it's easy to keep clean.

Granite Getaway is a two-bedroom second-floor apartment with a beautifully upgraded kitchen, full bathroom, and fireplace - all with lots of granite! Each room has a queen-sized bed. The apartment has a dining room, kitchen, and living room.

Thunder Mountain Place is a three-bedroom ground-floor apartment. The King room has a private 3/4 bathroom. There are two additional bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a full/double bed. This apartment features an additional full bathroom, living room, Kitchen, and dining area.

Glacier Valley Rocks is a three-bedroom ground-floor unit. One bedroom has a king bed and half bathroom and the other two units have queen beds. The unit also features a full bath living room, dining area, and kitchen.

It's self check-in so late arrival is not a problem. You'll be given the lock box code a few days prior to your arrival.

Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is at 11am. We will offer you an early check-in and late check-out if it's available for a fee of $50.

Rainbow Row is just 6 miles from the Juneau Ferry Terminal, 2 miles from the airport, 3 miles from the famous Mendenhall Glacier, 4 miles from the University of Alaska,10.5 miles from Downtown Juneau, and 21 miles from Eaglecrest Ski Area. The bus stop is a 10-minute walk, and there is a convenience store just steps from the bus stop. Two bikes are available for rent from this location for $10 per bike per day for your entire stay, or for longer term stays the bikes are $50 per bike per stay.

Host, Kelli, happens to be a co-owner of a large tour company with over 25 tours throughout Alaska and offers a 10% discount on all tours offered by the company to her vacation rental guests. Popular tours offered in Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, and Sitka include whale watching, salmon bakes, river rafting, kayaking, canoe tours, boat tours, hiking, gold panning, private cars, Mendenhall Glacier tours, jeep tours, Alaska RV and Cruise tour packages, and more. Pets are welcome, upon approval. There is an additional $30 nightly fee for your pet. If you feel that the extra animal/person fee is too expensive, and the value isn't there for you, please don't book this place. We want to offer pet-friendly places and we want your business, but we want you to be happy. We strive to keep the properties clean and maintained for all guests, which this fee helps pay for. You'll be asked to rate the value of your experience, and If this fee creates a diminished value perception, then we hope you find another fabulous place for your party.

Your expectations should be limited to what is promised here, and reviews should reflect how we did with these promises. Easy check-in process – You'll be able to self-check in. Kelli will give you check-in details prior to arrival, including a lockbox code. You'll be able to access the rental at your leisure after check-in time, at 4pm.

Great Communication – Kelli is known to be responsive to guests before, during, and after their stay. You can expect prompt responses to your questions.

Clean Accommodations – Your private apartment should be sparkling clean.

Great Mendenhall Valley Location – It's a 10-minute walk from the city bus stop and three miles from the famous Mendenhall Glacier which you can get to by car, bike (available for rent at this property - must be arranged prior to arrival), or walking on a paved bike path or gravel trail. You can take the bus for two miles and walk the third mile. This is not a downtown Juneau property. Downtown Juneau is substantially more expensive than the Mendenhall Valley, so this location for the price should not be compared to that of downtown.

Great Value – Juneau is expensive, especially during peak season, and while this is a more affordable option, we understand that it can seem expensive. Part of the value is the ability to rent for only one night, have additional people, and bring pets if you want. The price fluctuates depending on the season.
