This property is a gem when it comes to location. But, that's where the wonderful ends. The property is suffering from severe neglect and could easily be fixed and made wonderful.
Positives:
1) Beautiful setting, right up against the mountains, quite private and serene.
2) Bathroom well upgraded, clean and comfortable.
3) Beds are comfortable and linens were good quality.
4) Overall clean and well equipped, with good quality furnishings.
Negatives:
1) Heating: the two electric wall heaters are in-operable, and renters must use three, mismatched, store bought portable space heaters which are inconvenient and inadequate.
2) The oven's control knob does not work. It turns the oven on, but the temperature is not accurate, and when turned to the off position actually puts the oven to maximum (which I discovered later).
3) The curtains in the living room cannot be pulled to the closed position. Shower curtain rings are used and are too tight around the pipe to slide open or closed and many were not connected anyway.
4) Earlier reviews talked about the upstairs becoming stifling hot as the day progresses. Only putting a box fan in the window moves the air, but the one provided is bent and wobbly and repeatedly fell off the window sill...maybe how it became bent. SIMPLE FIX: PUT IN A CEILING FAN!
5) Kitchen faucet is of good quality but is not bolted in and swings wildly when one tries to adjust cold or hot.
