The location of the property was great. Very close to the park and to places to eat and shop. The view was amazing and we loved the pool. The property's host was very communicative and helpful and responded immediately to questions.

Just stayed at Casa Altura & it's PERFECT in every way. LOCATION cannot be beat as situated few blocks from main intersection in JT (so no noise or traffic, but quick and easy access to restaurants etc.), and it's short drive to West entrance of Joshua Tree Nat'l Park. There are SPECTACULAR VIEWS of gorgeous rock formation that are unobstructed & unimpeded by anything from every room, as well as from the large deck, and the patio, pool & jacuzzi area.Inside the 2BR 2BA is chic & comfortable with tech savvy controls & great features throughout; large fully stocked kitchen with a huge island, large dining table (also 2 tables on outside deck), and excellent living room area with turntable, speakers, flatscreen TV & stylish seating area. Good assortment of toys, games, books, DVDs and albums are a bonus. The owner is GREAT; quick to reply & helpful.No need to look elsewhere - if size is right - book it ASAP and you won't be disappointed!

This property was perfect for our party of 4 (2 couples) while we visited Joshua Tree. No fighting over the best bedroom because they are both very similar, each with it’s own bathroom. The kitchen and living areas are spacious and light with large windows looking out over the desert. Loved the hot tub and pool too. And a convenient proximity to the National park. Best restaurant around was Kitchen in the Desert, 18 mins away. Great food and vibe. Would stay here again!

This was our last stop on a week long road trip hiking at different national parks throughout Nevada, Utah and Arizona and it was a much needed respite! Such a lovely oasis in the desert, the views were great and the pool and hot tub were amazing! We took moonlight swims under the stars and early morning swims after watching the sunrise while sipping coffee. The kitchen was also super well stocked and cooking and eating a meal while watching the sunset was really special. I also enjoyed walking around the area behind the property looking at interesting plants and watching the bunnies and quail run around. The beds and pillows were really comfy, and we loved all the soaps and shampoos too. A wonderful stay!

After looking at lots of Joshua Tree properties, we were all delighted to end up choosing Casa Altura. The views are mesmerizing, with the home situated on the lot in such a way that you feel no one’s around for miles. The home is very comfortable, with fantastic natural light, great furniture, and a fully stocked kitchen. The spa was fantastic, and we used it even when it was raining. The location was so convenient to the Joshua Tree park, where we went every day to meet other friends camping there for hiking. One of the highlights of our stay was a wonderful afternoon/evening on the deck talking to our long-time friends while playing 1970s records on the provided turntable. The gem of this property is the owner Eddie - he looks after you like a best friend, checking in via text a couple times to make sure you are totally comfy. He even suggested a nearby hike from the house where we saw a tortoise and petroglyphs! Thanks for the wine and the cool coffee cup Eddie! The only way this property could be improved is if there were king beds. But it’s still 100 on a scale of 1-10.

I don’t know what more you would want from a house - property manager. Communications were all accurate and timely. The property manager provided the heated pool as described, answered all questions and everything is as stated. We loved swimming and relaxing in the hot tub while seeing stars, wildlife and the view. In the middle of the night the local coyotes said hello, scaring my wife but also giving us a really nice moment in our family vacation. The house is stocked, looks like the pics and close to everything, especially the park. Local hiking is easy to access as well, book it.

We had an amazing stay at Casa Altura. Eddie is an attentive host who makes sure you have all the information you need before arriving, and stays in touch during the trip if you have any questions or issues. He even left a bottle of wine for my wife's birthday.The house is in a prime spot with a great view, close proximity to restaurants/shops down the hill, and a quick drive to the park entrance. We loved it and will be coming back for sure!

Casa Altura and Eddie are definitely an oasis of peace. Eddie made sure EVERY detail was perfect and easy. He offered any and all assistance needed quickly and efficiently; hikes, restaurants, sights, the full package. We decided to take a quick trip to JT and really enjoyed the get away. The house is in a great location to the town and the park. The house is spotless and has all the kitchen amenities you will need. Eddie was very responsive and in fact was ahead of us with answers to our questions. Highly recommend this property. The property was just perfect for our visit to Joshua Tree! We spent two glorious nights enjoying Casa Altura. The views are spectacular, and the spa was perfect for soothing our tired bones after a day of hiking. Eddie was the most responsive host I have ever had for a vacation rental. If we ever find ourselves back in this area, I will definitely be booking this home.

We were looking for a place close to the park that offered scenic views, a hot tub, and a pool, and this property exceeded our expectations. Lovely stay and Eddie is a top-notch host! Pool and spa were superb! Everything is labeled and easy to find. The blinds are automatic - very nice feature. Lots of books and games available for time off the trails. The Trek deck was awesome and the motion sensor lights made going out at night easy. Beautiful views and ideal location. Very private and quiet property. We thought the beds (and the pillows) were a bit too firm and will bring pillow-top mattress covers when we return. The pull-out futon needs padding to be comfortable as well. There were flatter extra pillows available in the house which was a good thing for those of us with neck issues. There were no facial tissues and kitchen towels - not sure if that was a mistake or the usual. One pool towel and one bath towel per guest; so, you might want to pack spares. Telescope is missing the eyepiece; so, it's not really useable. There are binoculars available at the house. We brought our own but appreciated that there was a pair available.

The property was super clean, and spacious, huge picture windows with Jaw Dropping Views! Plenty of parking with an EV charger, large deck and a real stone pool (not above ground). The decor was very comfortable yet modern, super cool! The house was super high tech, yet easy to operate with the google panels in every room, the vintage high end Pioneer Stereo with Vinyls. The owner Eddie was always there for the few inquiries we had, and made us feel at home, (no crazy rules or chores). was more like a super expensive boutique hotel for a very reasonable price! Can't wait to go back!

We had an amazing quick weekend trip to explore Joshua Tree, and this house was the perfect base! The location made it easy to access the park and many other nearby trails. Eddie was fantastic - super responsive and proactive in reaching out, which made everything so seamless. His thoughtful touches, like the welcome amenity and local restaurant recommendations, really elevated our stay. We can’t wait to come back, this will definitely be our go-to spot when visiting JT!

We had an amazing stay at Casa Altura! I took my family to visit Joshua Tree National Park and Eddie's place was perfect. He's gone to great lengths to make sure that every detail is attended to for this little oasis in the desert. We are a "coffee" family and Casa Altura is well equipped with multiple ways to start your day well caffeinated. JTNP is just minutes away and we had an amazing time hiking climbing and exploring the area. You won't be disappointed with this place's outdoor amenities and its overall experience!

Casa Altura is a beautiful home. The minute you walk in you'll be amazed by the gorgeous view from the large windows. Those pink-hued sunsets light up the backyard rock formation and pool and make for excellent gazing and photos. It was so homey and comfortable I was sad I booked so many activities outside the home! That being said, Casa Altura is a close drive to many restaurants and attractions. The park is literally right down the road. Eddie is a terrific and kind host. Our only regret is not staying a full week. Next time!

Took the wife to Casa Altura for a weekend getaway. The views from each window are amazing and we loved watching the sunrise over Coyote Canyon from the comfort of the sofa. The house was clean and comfortable and had a lot of cool touches like a record player and telescope. My dogs loved the nearby trails and I’ll bring my mountain bike the next time to ride through the desert preserve. Would highly recommend staying here for couples or families.

From start to finish a great location, well appointed home, close to park and town yet private. Host was in touch and turned up heat and jacuzzi before we arrived. Wonderful open space kitchen and view. Fun to have a turntable and tunes. Nicely set up for phone links to music and electronics. Everything well marked so no learning curve. Will recommend to friends and hope to return.

We loved this place! We will be back! Great communication, super comfortable and clean. We went on some great hikes and a ton of time poolside. The house has a gorgeous view and everything you need to feel right at home.
