Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. Our apartment is a new construction, the yard is still a work in progress, and about 50’ from our back door. It’s above a drive under garage, but there is no access to the apartment from the garage. We love pets and made every effort to accommodate your four-legged family members. Both bedrooms have their own gated pet bedrooms and are roughly 8’ x 5’ and 5’ tall at its highest point sloping down to the floor.
Guest access:
You will have access to the entire, fully stocked apartment. We are 0.9 mile from the Main Street of Tennessee’s Oldest Town. We are just across the street from a railroad crossing - small children love seeing the train up close. We are also child friendly. We are 12 minutes from 3 major hospitals (JCMC - level 1 trauma, Franklin Woods - community hospital, & VAMC (a veteran’s hospital) @ Mountain Home, TN.

  • Originally built as a saloon around 1888, the Mail Pouch Building takes its name from the charming tobacco sign which graces its western wall. Restored in 1994, the sign wall is a colorful reminder of the days when sign painters toured the country covering barns and buildings with their handiwork. Today, the building houses a unique gift and craft shop called The Crafty Peddler. Home of the 6½ ft. Cigar Store Indian carved by a local artist, this craft shop also has folk art, baskets, pottery, jewelry, home and garden décor, and Christmas creations year round. Painted around 1895, the sign itself is made up of two parts: the lower portion, advertising Mail Pouch Tobacco, processed by Bloch Bros. of Wheeling, West Virginia. The upper portion is an advertisement for Augustus B. Cummings, who was a local businessman and possibly one of the inventors of the first plow. This portion is called a privilege panel, and was traditionally given to the building’s owner or occupant as compensation for allowing the tobacco company to paint their sign on the building.

What a great place and wonderful hosts! We were visiting our daughter at ETSU. The hosts are so welcoming and communication could not be more timely. All of this AND dog friendly! We look forward to staying here again.

Wonderful hosts, clean house, beautiful area. The train was closer than expected and I was never informed that it would be going by at 1am, 4am, 6am, making an insane amount of noise for 5 minutes straight each time. We left two days early just so I could go somewhere I could get some sleep. The hosts were gracious, and I received a refund for the unused nights. But the hosts could have been more forthcoming about the train noise in the middle of the night, each night we were there.

EXCELLENT place to stay! Has everything you would need...A true home away from home. Great place if you are travelling with a dog or two...they get to have their very own little room...so well thought out by the host.The apartment was comfortable and felt so easy to relax in. Wonderful deck to enjoy the outdoor space. Close to downtown Jonesborough (a must see...lots of historical buildings...and such nice people!) Last but not least...the hosts are absolutely wonderful, so kind and quick to respond to any questions/needs. We highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay! Ken and Runae were aweseome hosts. Runae even drove to the neighborhood next door when she knew I was walking the dogs & it started pouring rain. They are very friendly, have a lot of extra items in the house in case you forget something. It was super clean. Love the built in dog kennels in each room. It was so nice to have two bathrooms! Everything was great with our stay! Will definitely stay again.

Such a wonderful place

Four ladies taking a trip to Bristol to see the MLB Speedway Classic. This house was beyond perfect. Incredibly clean, everything was so comfortable, great showers, adorable decor. The hosts were so accommodating, responsive, and took care of any questions we had sometimes before we even asked them! Sadly, the event that we were in town to see was rained out on Saturday, and we were scheduled to leave on Sunday. Our host sent a text asking if we needed to stay Sunday night before it even occurred to me that that might be an option. Due to other obligations, we could not, but I felt that it was so thoughtful that the offer was made. Would I stay here again? 100% yes.

Jonesborough Reunion

My adult daughter and I met up in Jonesborough for a weekend get-together. It was great. The house is well maintained, stocked with the latest in appliances and kitchenware. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms are large and spacious. The owners were friendly and exceptional to work with... definitely recommend checking out The Conner House.

Excellent place to stay. It was so easy to work with the hosts & the place was spotlessly clean. The finish work on the rental unit was excellent...& we loved waking up to the sounds of country peace. Sister Getaway

This little gem was perfect for my sister and I. You can see the owners were very intentional in their design and functionality of this home. The location is quiet in the country, and the trains that pass by add to the excitement of seeing and hearing them. The owners made the entire process of staying there easy, and were available should any needs arise. Each bedroom had their own bathroom which made our stay there feel like a 5 star hotel. Already looking forward to another visit!
