"Great communication with host. View onto the lake is stunning. Plenty of furniture outside to enjoy the view. Location is pretty central to Wendy’s Market, Elgin and Westport to stock up on groceries. House had all we needed (laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent, clean towels/linens. AC was nice to have as it was hot during our stay. House was cleaned nicely for our arrival. "

"This place is just a lot less glamorous than the listing would imply. We had 9 adults in our group but this cabin only sleeps 6 max. So we had to rent a second cabin for full price. The manager was helpful tho and answered our questions. "

"We were a large party of 15. There was ample room that no one got in anyone’s way. Soooo much for everyone to be entertained. Can’t swim off the dock but the use of kayaks etc was amazing. Game room was a hit as was the hot tub. Massage chair was amazing. Property was large and beautiful. Private spot so we didn’t need to be afraid that we were too noisy. Plenty of essentials provided for cooking. Very responsive host. "

"This is an exceptional cottage with lovely views of the lake. It's just a few minutes drive to Westport which has interesting shops and a good grocery store. The owner was so cooperative and easy to deal with that I have booked a time in June and can't wait to get back to this wonderful cottage. The only caution is that there are stairs to get to the lake which should be considered for someone with mobility issues. "

"We were not there much because we had a family wedding on Saturday, but we did enjoy the peacefulness and the view of the lake as well as a well supplied cottage my only complaint was the coffee pot. It needs to have some vinegar run through it because it’s quite clogged up and took forever to make coffee other than that. Everything was great."

"The log house on old Stone Road is a charming gem boasting a unique history. Our host and his family were invested in making our stay comfortable and memorable. Our dogs were also welcomed with walking trails on the property. This is a beautiful and comfortable home that easily accommodates 8 people. It was an excellent meeting place for our families. Westport is a mere 3 minute drive down the road. Ideally situated in the Rideau Lakes area. Highly recommend this property to future guests."
