Vacation in the beautiful Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park

Our vacation home is located in the heart of the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park, at the foot of the Wüstegarten in the village of Densberg, part of the municipality of Jesberg.

Our vacation apartment is 55 square meters and was freshly renovated in 2023.

Spend spring, summer, fall, or winter in the Kellerwald. On stunning hikes through one of Europe’s largest beech forests, you can relax and experience nature at its most beautiful.

Away from the crowded tourist areas, our vacation home is located right on the edge of the forest.
From here, it’s about 100 meters to the Kellerwaldsteig hiking trail (169 km total length) and about 300 meters to the Densberg water treading pool.

The Kellerwald Tower is within direct view—perfect for a day trip—and offers a magnificent panoramic view at 675 m above sea level.

The Moor Adventure Trail, newly opened in 2020, is also worth a visit!

Lake Eder, with its sightseeing steamboats and wildlife park, as well as numerous other sights and attractions, is about 35 km away.

The large municipality of Jesberg is located directly between Kassel and Marburg, each about 50 km away.
Just 25 km away, you’ll find the Little Red Riding Hood Country in the Schwalm and Knüll region. There’s plenty to discover here, too. This also gives you the opportunity to stop at the Snow White Village of Bergfreiheit on your way to the spa town of Bad Wildungen (about 25 km away) and admire the Seven Dwarfs’ gemstone mine there.

Heading toward the cathedral city of Fritzlar (25 km), the Borken Lake District with its many swimming lakes begins after about 12 km.

The large municipality of Jesberg offers shopping options such as a grocery store, butcher shops, and bakeries.
In Jesberg, there is a German restaurant, an Italian restaurant, and an ice cream shop, as well as a Turkish and a Thai snack bar. In Neuental Gilsa, about 8 km away, there is a farm café with a cozy atmosphere. You’ll find additional restaurants in neighboring towns around Densberg.

changing pad for the
very little ones, can be provided.
