Villa 106 - lovely oceanfront condo

  • Located on a lush 17 acres on the north side of Jekyll Island directly adjacent to Driftwood Beach which is rated one of the top five beaches in the world, this ground-floor entry unit was recently renovated by a professional interior designer.

    This two-bedroom, one-bath Villa has premium amenities throughout including upgraded bedding.

    The living room has a new 55-inch flat screen as well as all new furniture. The dining area also has upgraded new furniture along with Edison antique lights. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large new refrigerator as well as a full-size stove and dishwasher.

    Upstairs or you will find a king bedroom facing the ocean along with a new balcony with spectacular views.
    The second bedroom features a queen bed and both bedrooms come with flat-screen TVs. The bathroom features a full tub and shower combo.

    You can see Saint Simons Island in the distance and at night you will see the blinking St Simons lighthouse.

    The World Famous Historic District is just a short 5-minute drive from our unit.

    Come see for yourself while we have called Jekyll Island a Vacation Paradise since our first trip in 1959.

    We love our pets but we respectfully request no pets and no smoking, please.

    Linens are provided with this unit, as well as a starter set of paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, and some personal amenity items. These items will not be replenished during your stay.
    Villas by the Sea has 3 coin-operated laundry rooms accessible with your key cards.

    ***Beach Access May Not Be Available At High Tide*** During high tide, please enjoy the oceanfront boardwalk OR swimming pool at VBTS or use one of the public beach access parks south of the Holiday Inn.

    NOTE: Rental guests are not allowed to have pets in the cottage at any time. This doesn’t imply that the rental is a completely pet-free property. If our no pet or no smoking policy is broken, a $1000 fine will be charged to the card on file AND you will be asked to vacate the property without a refund.

Great location- steps from Driftwood Beach!

Condo was clean and had all amenities needed. Unit has both Keurig and regular coffee pot. Great location, quiet at night, easy to walk to and great restaurant in the condo complex. We would stay there again.

Awesome Views and Closest to Driftwood Beach

This property has been renovated and is very nice. The views from the upstairs bedroom are excellent! Loved waking up to seeing the ocean right outisde our door. This property is in the building closest to the path to Driftwood Beach. Just a few minutes walk and you are there! Loved our stay here. Would stay again if back in the area. Stay here and you won't regret it!

Beautiful location excellent View

A great location on Jekyll Island with a beautiful view especially from the second story balcony. The interior of our unit looks like it was recently professionally appointed. We had some difficulty when some issues came up with getting in touch with the host but they were subsequently handled by either the host or the resident maintenance ..Personnel of Villas by the see Vige By

Beautiful view

This property complex is a little dated, but the unit was spacious and as described. The view from the primary bedroom balcony and sounds of the ocean were lovely! The dishwasher didn’t seem to be working, which we did report for repair.

The unit was super clean with the exception of the carpeted stairs--which could use a shampooing. The description said that a designer had updated this unit recently. I'm not sure how it was updated? a couple of added shelves? dishwasher and stove are not updated or countertops. Walls and woodwork are all one color? The view was great. The proximity to Driftwood Beach fantastic. The pictures used on the VRBO are a bit dated. The pictures show a much brighter place than it actually is. The unit (because it is older) has limited outlets. Most of the outlets have old fashioned extension cords for you to plug items into. Also the slider doors have finicky locks. You have to use a bar that has been added to feel more secure. The check in/ check out went smoothly--no surprises/no issues.Although I appreciate an uncluttered place, this is the first place that I've rented that had zero games and puzzles to play. So be sure to bring your own. As far as value...I don't really have a point of reference to judge that...this was first time to visit Jekyll Island. I probably would have given 4 stars if the description been more accurate since I've stayed at units updated in the past.

good overall but …

… ocean view unit has very distant beach access due to hurricane Helene damaging boardwalk 5-6 weeks earlier, requiring a long long walk in each direction packing beach items or more likely a drive … sole bathroom is located upstairs which is inconvenient no matter the age group of renters … decent but definitely not sterling, a little disappointing considering the price paid

If you like to walk on the beach or in a saltwater marsh, this is the place for you! Great restaurants are a short drive away. We had a great time!!
