Welcome to Villa 282 - ShipWatch Retreat!

Located on beautiful Jekyll Island, GA - this oceanview condo sleeps up to 6, and has many new upgrades! Just steps away from the shore - you’ll love listening to the waves from the back patio or master balcony, and the sunrise is magical through the oak trees.

2023 upgrades include: new 55” TV and sleeper sofa in living room, new Samsung stove in the kitchen, scraped ceilings throughout, new patio furniture on both levels, enclosed staircase with new carpet, all new flooring on second level, new tower fans in each bedroom, and completely renovated bathroom - including tumbled pebble tile shower. October 2023 scheduled upgrades include a new 43” TV in the second bedroom, new kitchen table & chairs, and new kitchen appliances: refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave.

The two bedrooms and bathroom are on the second floor - a queen bed in both the master and second bedrooms. There is also a fold-out couch on the main level with an upgraded gel mattress. The kitchen is stocked with new dishes & other essentials, including a Keurig - also check out the cabinets below the TV for fun board games to play.

The Villas By The Sea complex includes a pool with grills, kids' playground, volleyball courts, adult bikes to rent, a gift shop, ice machines, 3 laundry rooms (the front desk can make change), a conference center & executive offices, and the highest rated restaurant on the island - Driftwood Bistro, serving delicious Lowcountry cuisine. Small beach towels are also available at the pool.

Located next door to the complex is Driftwood Beach - rated #3 Top Beaches in the US by Tripadvisor, which is just a stroll down the beach! Both sunset and sunrise are absolutely beautiful there. Jekyll island also has scenic walking & biking paths to more restaurants, shops, mini & real golf, etc. Golf carts are available to rent at the airport. We have also found many live sand dollars on the beach, and watch for deer throughout the island!

Items you may want to consider bringing: beach towels or chairs, boogie boards, kids bikes & helmets, and charcoal if you want to grill.

Linens are provided with this unit, as well as a starter set of paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, and some personal amenity items. These items will not be replenished during your stay.

***Beach Access May Not Be Available At High Tide*** During high tide, please enjoy the oceanfront boardwalk OR swimming pool at VBTS or use one of the public beach access parks south of the Holiday Inn.

NOTE: Rental guests are not allowed to have pets in the villa at any time. This doesn’t imply that the rental is a completely pet-free property. If our no pet or no smoking policy is broken, a $1000 fine will be charged to the card on file AND you will be asked to vacate the property without a refund.
