  • Garden Cottage 01 Arena, sol y verano ...... ¡Esta cabaña de 3 dormitorios y 3. 5 baños decorada profesionalmente lo hará soñar con arena, sol y verano durante semanas! Entras a esta casa a través de la cocina, totalmente equipada con electrodomésticos Whirlpool de acero inoxidable y todo lo que necesitas para sentirte como en casa. Una amplia barra superior con asientos para cuatro y una mesa de comedor con asientos para cuatro flujos a la sala de estar. El primer piso incluye una chimenea de gas, muebles perfectos para el entretenimiento, un medio baño y un porche grande con mosquitero. El porche del primer piso permite el acceso a un gran patio equipado con una parrilla de gas, pozo de gas y asientos al aire libre. Para terminar el primer piso está el dormitorio principal (KING) con baño en suite. El segundo piso es el hogar de dos habitaciones de huéspedes, cada una con una cama queen size y baño privado. Ambas habitaciones tienen acceso al balcón compartido con un cómodo columpio, perfecto para tomar una siesta y disfrutar del aire fresco. Esta cabaña incluye tres bicicletas para adultos y una bomba de aire. 6 sillas de playa.
    Además, los huéspedes tienen acceso a las instalaciones de The Cottages at Jekyll Island frente al océano, que incluyen una casa club con mesa de billar, gimnasio, piscina de entrada cero, terraza en la playa y fogata comunitaria.

    Acceso a la playa: la continuación del Proyecto de Rehabilitación de Revestimiento de la Isla Jekyll en el estado de Georgia, ha resultado en la pérdida temporal del acceso a la playa al agua a lo largo de nuestra costa. Todavía hay acceso a la playa de marea alta, parte del revestimiento de la roca. Recomendamos Driftwood Beach, ubicada al norte de The Cottages o solo a unos minutos en auto al sur del área de Great Dunes Park.

    Pedimos disculpas por cualquier inconveniente que esto pueda causar durante su visita y apreciamos su comprensión de la importancia de este proyecto.

Roomy townhouse

Nice townhouse in a very nice area of Jekyll Island. The unit was nicely decorated. Very comfortable beds. The kitchen was just okay. Most of the cookware and utensils were pretty tired and definitely need to be refreshed. Walls could use a coat of paint as well. We like the area very much but probably would not rent this unit again.

Home away from home!

This was such a perfect home to stay in! Modern, comfortable, and meticulously maintained. A true pleasureable stay. Even though it is not ocean facing, it has the next best thing - greenery surrounding it. If you enjoy privacy, or not looking out your windows at your neighbors this unit is the best. Short walk to the beach and pool. Couldn’t ask for a better getaway! Will DEFINITELY be returning!

Spring break

This is an excellent house. Spotlessly clean, lots of space (nice high ceilings too), well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and other furniture. Only caution and this doesn't have anything to do with the house, is that the beach at this part of the island is either under water or the sand is wet, due to the high tide. We just went about a mile down the road and enjoyed a normal beach experience. So if you're expecting to walk to the beach, be aware of this. Would definitely rent again if visiting the area.

We loved Jekyll Island, Garden Cottage 01 has a n issue to be addressed

We liked the location and amenities of the cottage but apparently the gas fireplace is not vented properly. We used it for 1 1/2 hours one evening and then turned it off and went to bed at 11:30pm. At 1am the smoke alarm in the cottage was going off so we jumped out of bed and looked for the problem. We saw nothing so we opened doors and turned on the fans. The alarm eventually silenced and we went back to bad. About 5 minutes later a fire truck pulled up and firemen were knocking on our door. They checked our carbon monoxide levels which were high especially upstairs.Again at their insistence we opened doors and windows and put ceiling fans on for about 30 minutes.After a bit they felt it was safe to close doors and return to bed. The realty company called at the time the firemen were there and asked us not to use the fireplace again. We sure did not! We never heard another word from the realty company. My advice is to rent a different cottage unless you ask specifically if the fireplace venting has been repaired in Garden Cottage 01. Maybe even bring your own carbon monoxide monitor!

Not a great ending

We really loved the unit that we rented and the island and it was going great until the next to last day, we were there for Christmas weekend and it was very cold the whole time we were there, we had the fireplace on every night and a little bit in the mornings. On the next to last day I went on a walk to the beach and my wife stayed in, when I was coming back I saw numerous firetrucks, I got very nervous and started running towards the house but one of the fireman told me to slow down that everything is ok, the alarm in the house went off, so I went inside and one of the firemen told me that the co levels were high, especially upstairs and asked if we had the fireplace on (it was off at the time) I told them when and how long we had it on during the time we stayed there. They had all the windows open to vent the house and told us to keep the upstairs open for a while and keep the fans on as well, which we did. They told us that they believed that it was the fireplace but weren't totally sure. They said that they would contact the property manager and that someone would get back to us. No one got back to us and the rest of that day and that night we kept allowed some fresh air to come in just to be safe as we were a little nervous, needless to say we did not use the fireplace the rest of the time we were there and we left the next day without knowing that it was the fireplace. I did write to the management company a few days later with this story and they did confirm that it was the fireplace, it seems that a log was moved and that caused the problem. When we first got there the fireplace would not light, someone came while we were out and got it working(they responded very quickly). It is a shame that it ended this way because we really like the place and the area and was looking forward to coming back and renting either the same unit or a different unit in the same development.

Enjoyed our stay with just a few bumps in the road

Overall this was a fantastic stay! We are actually planning to return and make The Cottages at Jekyll a frequent travel destination. The location was excellent, very close to the beach! Parking was amazing as we were allowed to park in the garage. It stormed really bad our first name and we had peace of mind with this. The furnishings were very high quality and well decorated. We appreciated having access to laundry machines as well. My complaints are minuscule but they would have aided my overall outlook on the stay. First, when we arrived almost every dish in the cupboards were dirty and we had to use both of our allotted dishwasher pods to get a clean start. Thankfully, we were provided with 4 additional pods after complaining to management. There were also a few bugs however this IS South Georgia so that wasn’t a horrible issue. Secondly, getting ahold of management was a chore. No one was working the clubhouse or answering their phones. It took 24ish hours for someone to get back to me and that’s because I finally called a different number than what was provided in the check in booklet. Third, the utensils in the kitchen could use an upgrade. The pots and pans were very scratched and, while they got the job done, we’re not the best to cook meals with. Since there isn’t a lot of restaurants on the island, this was something we were looking to do a lot of and we did but would have enjoyed nicer utensils. Additionally, the grill and coffee maker were very dirty and we didn’t get to use them as we were uncomfortable with the cleanliness of the interior of the machines. We also would have preferred provided kitchen hand towels as we were forced to use paper towels the whole time. As an island with an outlook on environmental preservation, this wasn’t enjoyable. Final complaint is that we had to take out, what I assume was, the last attendees trash. The bin in the garage was full of trash (and a few cockroaches) that was not ours but out of fear of being charged $250 for leaving trash we had to take it all to the compactor. Overall, would come back to this same location again and again but hopefully the upgrades are made :)

The cottages are exactly as described. Extra clean and roomy. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils. Especially liked the fact that everything in the cottage was almost new and worked well. A little close to the main road but didn't notice the traffic when inside.

Great Townhouse

The place is beautiful. The neighbors were so nice. The property managers are on site and responded within 5 minutes when some minor thing was reported. This place is great and we would definitely stay here again next time we come.
