Old property. No updates. Ceiling leaking in 1st bedroom. Sun porch screens were completely detached

The sun porch issue created a seriously safety hazard. Literally you could enter the property easily from the street. Completely unsettling.

Review of coastal breezes

Jekyll island itself is beautiful and we had a great time. Our stay was ok- it was fine for what we needed since we didn’t spend much time at the condo. Communication - I messaged the property managers twice through vrbo weeks before the stay and never received a response. However, when I called about an unrelated issue, they responded promptly. The app was helpful regarding information about restaurants and such. Fyi- the WiFi password provided in the app was incorrect, but the correct information is located on the router. Cleanliness - the place was not clean when we arrived, and smelled musky and like dog. The kitchen carpet wAs covered in crumbs and was obviously not vacuumed in a while and the floor wasn’t swept since dirty napkins and crumbs were also found. The shower in the master bathroom is slow to drain. The house is overall dusty and not very clean. Comfort- the place was spacious. although it is a is 4bed, 3bath, the fourth bedroom and third bathroom are located in what I would call the garage. There were four of us (2 couples) so it didn’t matter to us, but something other renters may want to consider. I personally wouldn’t sleep in there and neither would anyone else I traveled with. Beds were somewhat comfortable. Couches could certainly use an upgrade. There really is nothing provided in the condo (blow dryer, condiments, etc), which was a little inconvenient to have to bring all those items. Location- great location close to the beach. About a 5 min drive to the main restaurants and shops on the island. We couldn’t use the beach access because of the tide as other renters indicated, but we didn’t mind walking a street over.

Our family loves Coastal Breezes!

We love this place (2nd time we've stayed here). It's perfect for our little family and we love how the old-school "Jekyll house" vibe is still there. It's nice that the kitchen is redone but everything else is mostly intact and well-maintained. And we don't mind the short walk to the beach - because of the walkovers you still have to walk, even if you rent beachfront. Will definitely rent again next time we take a trip down!

Great place and easy stay

We enjoyed our stay at Coastal Breezes. The home is a low maintenance place, which we love and appreciate. Bringing our own linens and comforts made clean up easy. We will stay there again!

Great Family Vacation

The house was a great size and had a couple "Jekyll Rooms" we could use as common areas in addition to the family room. Property was on the same street as a beach access which is convenient. Also about 1.5 miles south of Driftwood Beach which is a plus. Definitely a great location and a nice property. I'd definitely stay here again.

Jekyll is best cycling spot in America!

Lots of room, great area, steps from beach, quiet, check in was great and friendly accommodating folks. Thank you for a great stay! Tortuga Jacks live music on the beach is amazing and Zacherys on Intracoastal had Great prices on seafood.

Enjoyed our Stay

We stayed at this location for a family getaway. The house was clean and nicely located. Unfortunately, the beach access on porter lane was in need of repair so we couldn’t use it to access the beach but our understanding is that will be fixed in a few weeks. The only suggestion I have is the master bed is terribly uncomfortable. A new mattress would make a huge difference!

Great Screened in Porch

The house could use a garbage disposal and a much better grill, but the screened in porch more than made up for it. Walk to the beach was easy, but with the tides there was very often no beach to sit on. We drove to the public beach more often than not.

Great stay

We had a fantastic family vacation in Jekyll and at this house. We can’t wait to make it back soon. The only down side to this trip was out of the owners hands, but the Jekyll island authority contacted us a few days prior to staying stating that the 2 boardwalks within close walking distance to the house were shut down for repairs. We did choose this house because of the 1 block proximity to the beach, so that was frustrating. However the easy access to the public beaches made up for it. We knew that this was “off season” but surprised they couldn’t have waited until further into the fall to make these repairs. Otherwise, the house was perfect!
