"The property was terrific. The redesign of the Jail into a luxurious hotel was fabulous. The service of dinner in the bar area was very good. The only complaint I have was that the young women at the front desk on our arrival took pride in being unhelpful. When we asked her where the entrance of the walking trail was she told us that she did not have a clue because she never walks and had never heard of a walking. "We enjoyed a wonderful stay in the 'Nauti' Shepherd's hut. It was so cosy, warm, clean and immaculately presented. The bed was super comfortable and everything we could have needed was provided. A great location, with a peaceful and relaxing countryside setting. Great communication from the hosts. We will definitely be back in the future. Highly recommended for a cornish get away. "

"It's a great place to go to relax, you have the cove about a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive. The staff are great very helpful, the breakfast is great and the evening meals are great too, the room was clean the one I stayed in, the bar is good too the beer is local as well just up the road to we're the mill is."

Breakfast was not included though we think it is provided at other times of the year. There was however a very good cafe and shop next door that served breakfast, coffee and snacks. "We arrived at the hotel late and upon arrival had a sign saying under renovations. No pool/spa/gym/food. Room was ok. However interconnecting door unlocked which puzzled the staff as to why we would want to lock it. 2nd night bar then closed and had to request more milk pots as no laundry service/restock had taken place. Overall disappointed with the stay and feel it should be closed during renovations. The resort could be amazing but needs a lot of repairs. For what was a basic room...
