"This was our second stay at this lovely hotel fascinating building which is impressive. Attention to detail at every level, we ate at the restaurant for two nights food was excellent as was the breakfast. The rooms are tasteful well appointed, comfy bed and excellent bathroom. Without exception every member of staff were friendly, attentive, polite and made us feel relaxed. Thank you for a very enjoyable experience I strongly recommend this hotel."

"We booked a long bank holiday weekend at the very last minute and were not disappointed. Very tranquil location so the town isn't really walkable unless you are super fit although only minutes from town in a car. But the hotel more than made up for that. Very traditional which made you feel like you were stepping back in time. The staff were all super friendly and made us feel very welcome. We couldn't fault the room. "We were made to feel very welcome. The food is excellent, local suppliers clearly listed. Extensive wine list. Outside area for drinks and dinner is attractive. Very friendly staff We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area. "

"Wonderful property, staff amazing. Only "gripes" are - four poster bed is a *little* small, it's the equivalent of a small double bed. Also, the shower doesn't have much power. It's an older, historical property, so do factor that into a stay. As highlighted above though, the staff were brilliant, and the (included) breakfast was sublime. We will be back! 👍"
