I am writing to formally express my disappointment and concern regarding my recent stay at the Quality Inn Jacksonville – Baymeadows from Friday, October 31 through Sunday, November 2. My experience was extremely unpleasant, and I ultimately checked out early due to the poor conditions and overall feeling of being unsafe.
From the moment I arrived, the property appeared run-down and poorly maintained, with questionable individuals coming and going at all hours. During my stay, two separate individuals approached me asking for handouts, which made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe on the premises.
The rooms were substandard, with visible marks on the walls, a broken light fixture near the bed, and worn-out furnishings. While I had a television and microwave, another guest mentioned that their room had neither. The beds were old metal spring mattresses, which made it nearly impossible to get a comfortable night’s sleep.
The breakfast options were very poor—consisting only of make-your-own waffles and boxes of Captain Crunch cereal—and the coffee was undrinkable. I also noticed signs posted on some doors indicating that people were living there, which raised additional safety and cleanliness concerns.
Overall, this property was dirty, poorly managed, and felt unsafe. I expected a much higher standard from the Quality Inn brand, and I am very disappointed that my stay did not reflect your usual level of service and comfort.
