The room was hot and the ac is kind of broken, the vent on top was broken but it still worked fine. The ac was off when we walked into the room and it took about a day and half to get cool on max. Great staff and very quick with requests for more toiletries snd towels.

They never once came and got the towels or the sheets.There was dirty towels on the shower.When we got there , the floor has not been swept and i'm pretty sure I got eight up by bed bugs

There were roaches in our bathroom and the tub was not clean with a large circle of black dirt. The bed sheets had mold marks and stains. When we called about the bugs we were told the husband was sleeping and had to stop by the front desk for bug spray to clean ourselves. Also, outside of the room had a strong odor of urine.

This spot was good for a short last minute stay. I was in town for a funeral and needed somewhere cheap and convenient in location. The location is right outside of town. Not too close, not too far which was great. For the price it was fine but the fridge didn't work and it was nasty on the inside which was disappointing because I had food I wanted to save for in the morning. The guy running the place during my visit, I could tell cared about the business and wanted it to thrive but some minor upgrades in bedding choice and working fridges would make me want to come back and stay regularly for vacation visits.

It was the cheapest hotel for a reason. Staff tried to charge me more than the reservation was for. I had to prove my reservation rate with the email from hotels.com The air was not on when we arrived. It was extremely hot in the room. Popcorn ceiling was peeling & Carpet was worn out. I only saw 1 roach in our room. lol Shower wasn’t bad and there was a bed. That’s all I would expect from this place.

It was convenient for me to get it. However the tub was lower then the floor my husband almost fell because of the difference of the level 's . I'm glad I was there to catch him. Overall the place was what I expected.

the place was older but basically very clean. did not have smoke smell nor nasty chemical smell. carpet was older but basically clean. looks like they have kept up with painting to keep things fresh looking. area was older and seemed a little seedy, but everything was quite fine. worth staying at.

The location was good for my situation but it is, as are nearly all the motels in Jacksonville area, right beside a busy highway so it was loud. It's an old property and rather run down, and there were very few amenities. However everything, including microwave and 'frig (with separate freezer) worked. It was quite inexpensive and was about as clean as an older property like this can be gotten. It suited me quite okay.

We arrived at 2 in the morning and left at 7:30am, so didn't have much of a look around. The room itself appeared clean, but when the sheets were pulled back, there were little handfuls of long hair, and when we woke in the morning it was to find a cockroach crawling in one of our duffle bags. When said bag was dropped in shock, a larger, dead cockroach was blown out from under the bed. There were not enough towels/wash rags, and the toilet was reluctant to flush, and only 2 tiny bars of soap. The best thing going for this place, is how close it is to the Marine Corps base for family days, and graduations.

Your motel SUCKS

I didn’t stay there, we had travel problems and got there about 2am. We were told they couldn’t rent after a certain time. I showed him my # for my rental . He said no way. He wouldn’t accept my confirmation # ,but no way . I had to find another rental at 2AM in a place I had never been to.

If you're looking for the Hilton Hotel you won't find it. What you will find is a clean well priced motel with friendly staff and sufficient rooms.

It works

I will start this off by saying I have pretty high standards when it comes to hotels. (Area, sketchiness, cleanliness.) I stay at Coastal Motel every time I visit my husband who is at Camp Johnson. It’s a fair price for a basic stay. Nothing fancy, nothing bad. Only complaint I have is one of the times I stayed there, there was a huge roach. (Had my husband kill it lol) I’ve had the same room every single time though and that’s only happened once. Area isn’t bad. Base is literally right across the street. Gas station and food lion just a small walk away. Traffic is pretty harsh at all times. (You WILL hear cars and sirens every single night but that’s just Jacksonville and it’s easy to get used to.) Definitely recommend if you are on a budget and visiting a loved one at Camp Lejeune.

Very basic. Very noisy from outside since the main road there. No extra outlets to fulfill current multi gadgets world. Only one outlet at the door and no any tables/etc near by it. Another - in the bathroom. This is what I don’t like about cheap motels/hotels. Everything else could be acceptable.

Great Hotel

Arrived in the evening. The service was great. The room was a little dated but the bed was comfortable. It had ac works great the shower is hot. I’d stay again.
