Captain`s House A2 - New Condo | 2 Bed, 2 Bath

Oceanfront with direct beach access, this quaint seaside respite, built on Amelia Island in 1983, includes only nine spacious villas. Each unit is directly situated on sand and sea with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, and a living room that opens to an oceanfront deck. A staircase connects each of the three floors, including the two spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms in Sur La Mer. A private boardwalk takes you to the beach, where you can explore and bask in the incredible views to your content. The condos of the Captain's House are a perfect place for quiet getaways, wonderful family gatherings, and vacations of all kinds. These are a premier Amelia Island vacation rental! Please note that you will have to take stairs to get to the property no elevator is on site.

All fresh linens and towels are provided for our guests. We also provide a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, dish washing soap, dish pods, and laundry detergent. Beach chairs, beach towels, and a beach umbrella are also provided for you to use during your stay.

We also ask all guests to complete a registration form with Amelia Island Vacations through the secure site of DocuSign.

Captain's House A2 is a pet friendly property that allows one pet weighing less than 25 lbs.

Perfect location with private beach access. Everything we needed was provided at the unit. I would suggest bringing your own beach towels if you need more than a couple, though. Everything was labeled making it easy to find what you needed.

The property itself is lovely. The management company was just okay.We weren’t allowed to check in until 4:20 due to housekeeping issues, however I saw the housekeeping staff coming in from swimming at the beach.The dishwasher would not turn on, and the chair service couldn’t access the back of the house to set up.Again, the unit was lovely. They may want to consider different management.

Perfect, quick trip to Amelia

We have been coming to Amelia for over ten years and would stay at other B&Bs for the convenient beach access. This place provided that plus space to spread out and quiet. 5 minute drive to downtown, easy parking. We didn’t think we could find this option at the price point. Very happy.

lovely spot on the beach with a wonderful deck and easy beach access. It was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The porperty managers could not have been nicer or more helpful!

Cute condo on second floor, well appointed. Lots of small thoughtful touches that made it easy to enjoy. Great view of the ocean from living area and deck. Great location near downtown Fernandina. Easy access to hit the beach. Sounds from third floor, walking running, etc were a downside. Had one issue at check in time and management company had some communication issues.

Very thoughtful owner

The property was in good order and included many items not usually included in rentals (i.e., 2 coffee makers, turtle season flashlights, etc) If not for the a/c not working reliably, this place would have been nearly perfect. There is no pool but that wasn't an issue for this stay. The managing company was responsive, but they did drop the ball on the a/c fix.

Fall beach trip

We had a very nice day at this condo. We liked the location because it was close to town. Very easy access to the beach. The condo was extremely clean and had everything we needed. It’s so nice to provide beach chairs.

The property was in a great location. The unit was clean and well stocked. There were games, cards and even musical instruments. There were many plug ins available for chargers, etc. The beds were comfortable as well. The unit was beautifully decorated and best of all just steps from the beach. It also is pet friendly though we didn't have ours with us...that is a big plus for those of us that are dog lovers. I definitely would stay here again.

Everything you could need is here

This beachfront condo is well appointed with every essential and then so much more. There are nightlights and flashlights, umbrellas, games, art supplies, etc etc. The kitchen has everything you need and the space is comfortable and clean. It is great location- near to shopping and restaurants. We had a wonderful stay!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The condo was very comfortable with everything we needed. And what a view! We loved having easy access to the beach for walking our dog. The location was great for walking to restaurants too!
