"Just two nights at this perfectly located hotel with mature lovely gardens and country house features. Very convenient for Ullswater lake and walks. The staff were very helpful and attentive. "Cosy feeling pub. Fantastic food. Nicely furnished cosy rooms but limited plugs for phone charging etc. We were in the room at the front above the pub, quite noisy from the pub below at night could make it difficult for some to sleep. Staff were welcoming and helpful."

"Beautiful accommodation in a stunning setting. Breakfast was 5 star! Lots of choice and presented perfectly. Our double room was very clean with en suite and quality toiletries. Tea/coffee and biscuit were replenished daily. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, with lots of local advice - we couldn’t have chosen a better guest house for our Lake District break. "Cannot rate this stay highly enough! Staff super friendly and helpful, going above and beyond. Room was wonderful, with freshly made cookies for guests as an extra touch. The breakfast was excellent. Only thing would make it even better would be ability to have dinner on site or room service. "
