"Very nice small Hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We stayed at the annex and had a nice room with a balcony and a lovely view."

"Wonderful stay at a quiet hotel in Shimoda. A little dated and a little far away from the main town but beautiful views, helpful and friendly staff and an amazing ocean view onsen. My partner and I got a traditional Japanese room which was very spacious and comfortable."

"Increíble vista y comodidad, el personal súper amable y atento, comida deliciosa y onsen privado extremadamente bueno"

"I did not read anywhere that there is a curfew and you must be in your room by 2400. Also, there was a water spill in my room and also the front desk personnel need to have a little more people skills. The maid tried to open my door without knocking also, luckly I had it double bolt. Overall, for the price not a good experience. Oh and also I was charged a small hotel fee upon check out and that was not disclosed before either. "

"Absolutely lovely. Felt like I was staying with family. Quick walk to the gorgeous beach, next to a beautiful shrine, and a short walk from a delicious Ramen place. Not to mention the Onsen!!! What a magical experience it was to enjoy the outdoors and soak. And last but not least the breakfast! Felt like my mom made me lunch for the day. Absolutely would recommend to anyone staying in the area."

"Enjoy the stay ones a year!"

"The staff was very helpful. It was a stormy afternoon when we arrived. The hotel is right by the Shirahama beach( 2 minutes’ walk). Our room was on the top floor with ocean view, and we could see the sunrise and watch the surfers catching the waves. There is a 7-Eleven and Family Mart nearby. The room was very spacious. If you booked a Japanese-style room, you have to make your futon bed yourself. The futon was very comfortable !!! I didn’t get a chance to use the onsen as I have a tattoo, but...
