The décor of this spacious apartment is elegant and contemporary. There is an open-plan living area with a sofa, armchair and a flat-screen TV. The corner kitchen is separated from the living are by a smart breakfast bar with four stools. The kitchen is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher and a fridge/freezer.

Glass doors open from the living room onto the shaded balcony. The balcony offers outdoor dining space for meals al fresco.

Location
The resort of San Pietro is on Lalzit Bay, one of the most beautiful stretches of beach on Albania’s Adriatic Riviera. The gently sloping beaches are very child-friendly. There are also several good restaurants (2-minute walk) and bars. Visitors who are looking for a more active holiday will plenty to do on the beach including scuba diving, jet-skiing, water-skiing and a children’s playground. For self-catering there is a supermarket in San Pietro (1-minute drive).

Away from the coast there are many charming hill towns, including Kruje (1 hour) which is home to 5th-century Kruje Castle, as well as Kruje Bazaar, which dates back to the 17th century. Here you can find authentic Albanian carpets, textiles and ceramics. There are also hiking routes in the surrounding mountains which range from the easy to the challenging.

Tirana is a 45-minute drive and makes a great day trip. It is an eclectic mix of Ottoman, Soviet and Fascist architecture. The city is easy to explore on foot. Blloku is an exciting, young area, full of cafés and interesting boutiques. The main square – Skanderbeg Square is a must-see. The city’s markets offer a window onto everyday life. The New Market, Pazari Ri offers a wide range of local produce.

Tirana International Airport is just a 40-minute drive from the apartment.
